What is the first TV show you remember being addicted to?

Friends! Used to love coming home from school and watching the two episode special at 5pm every evening, on E4 I believe.

People who were addicted to programmes before videos, what does that look like to you? I remember there being "must-watch" programmes for my parents and siblings, but can't picture them being "addicted" because there was such large gaps between episodes.

Press Gang on ITV as a 11 year old, although I'm told I had a strange obsession with The Sullivans as a 3 year old.

Six feet under. I still have the box sets of DVDs and can't part with them despite not having a dvd player any more!

Neighbours. I missed Scott and Charlene’s wedding because of an extra curricular activity, still bitter now. I occasionally watch that episode even now. And Saved by the Bell.

It was more that the characters got into my head and I'd make up stories etc. And I have a ridiculous memory for detail so could remember every part of an episode.

When I was a little older and had moved on to another show, I refused to go out when it was on. I remember my aunt waiting with me while I watched it and then taking me to the family gathering I should have been at. They all knew that I would be unbearable if they'd made me miss it! I get very very obsessed with things.

I suppose it was a bit like how people have watched Line of Duty which was weekly, I can remember looking forward to the next episode and of course we didn't know any different then

I'm not even sure those are the right titles, they used to be on in the mornings during the summer holidays.

Neighbours. I was hooked from the very beginning. Des and Daphne!

Neighbours! Used to go home from high-school at lunchtime to watch it.
Before neighbours though it was Dallas!

If we’re talking ‘binging’ def 24. I was obsessed w Neighbours though in teens n 20s (late 1980s into 90s). As a child - Grange Hill!!
