How did the desk delivery go Raahh? My whole house is upside down because we're redecorating the sitting room. There's two tellies in the kitchen, sofas in the hall, and to top it off the oven died today. FML

Jane it is a nightmare the place is a tip. He's had weeks to clear stuff at least ready for it to come -and waited til yesterday to even start.

There is stuff everywhere. He has thanked me for for being very calm...

He's got a bloody football match tomorrow, so it's not going to get sorted before Sunday- and he starts work Monday.

At least I have a separate hob although I kind of wouldn't mind if that died and we had to live on sandwiches for a while

I spent 2 years without an oven 20 odd years ago - I had a hob and a combi microwave at the time, that my mum had acquired and didn't want. I didn't cook much, so it suited me at the time.

DD2 has just been in tears because when I was clearing up earlier, i might have thrown away a thing she made out on old sock.

it turns out - I didn't. She just didn't look very hard for it- but she was about to go through all the bin bags to look for the bloody thing.

I'm ready to run away. I might take the dog.

DS2 has been moaning that I bought a new laundry basket when there was nothing wrong with the old one. It was completely wrecked and the handles were gone! Maybe we could do some matchmaking Raahh

I wouldn't mind- of all my dc, DD2 is the messiest by far, and if I had thrown away the sock thing it would have been because I threw away dozens of odd manky socks that were found in grubby corners of her room. So, if it had got caught up in the 'cull' I would not have been surprised. It was the fact she accused me of chucking it- before she even looked (in the first place I looked for it ) and then had a total strop. I decided it was 'end of term' itis.

She had also made a replacement- incase the other one didn't turn up. . It's no wonder she never has any socks...

She's a funny kid.

It's Andre and Steffi's 20th wedding anniversary today.

Congratulations to them. It's funny- because really, they always seemed like such an unlikely couple to me- but they have proved to be the perfect pair.

I also think Steffi and Andre seem like an unlikely couple but it seems to be working for them

Sorry for the double extra long link! I don't know what's happening with the tennis. I am sitting on the floor of the empty sitting room watching Sense&Sensibilty on a tablet because I can't take any more of the kitchen

I am not a good human person, because the continued mess in the house - and the fact dh has basically put all the crap everything back where it came from, is making me eye up the garden spade...

So, I am now trying to watch the first bits of tennis I have had chance to see all week. The picture quality of the Antwerp final (Sinner/ Diego) is a bit wonky. Might be that I'm still getting used to my new varifocals. .

I was pleased to see Cilic has made the Moscow final against Karatsev. The men's final isn't on Prime though.

I was thinking earlier, that although I am really sad Rafa ended his year early (and that Djok was so dominant for most of the year)- there have been some really interesting matches over the year, and players making a name for themselves.

Speaking of a player who has had a good year- Hurkacz has drawn Murray in the first round of Vienna. They have only ever played twice- - both recently- and the score was exactly the same in both matches (in favour of Hurkacz).

The headline for Vienna seems to be that Stef has drawn Dimitrov- who has been playing a bit better lately. He might fancy his chances against Stef.

Grigor and Stef have only played twice- and the last time was actually in Vienna last year- Grigor won in 3 sets.

Not looking good for Andy - but who knows, maybe he will surprise us! I’m just pleased he’s playing again.

Good win for Sinner- was nice to see Diego playing though, I feel like I've not seen him for a while.

And Karatsev won in Moscow- not all that surprising, I'm glad Marin got to a final though.

It's not that long since he became a dad for the second time- another boy. So that's nice .

So Andy's run of tough draws continues....

According to the BBC website, it looks as though unvaccinated players will be allowed at the Australian Open

kazza that is very disappointing -not just because I don't want Djok there- but because it goes against what they have been saying all along, (the minister made it very clear vaccination was mandatory for everyone- regardless od who they were). I bet the public will need to be jabbed to attend matched. .
I hope they face a back lash, and have to make a U turn on it. If everyone else entering the country has to be vaccinated, then that should apply to everyone- whoever they are (unless they have have a proper reason).

And I was really looking forward to a Djok free slam .
It could still happen.
