Sounds like a plan! Technically I've got a tv in the accommodation so I could talk everyone into going for early dinner but i don't think that would work as I'd have to send DH and DS (21) to bed at 9 or have to suffer them watching with me. I'll just have to save it until Tuesday night.

I don't think that's quite right: the reference to their light skin and delicate features, I think, ties into why the Hazaras - of which these girls are - are more vulnerable and persecuted - because they are visibly distinctive from other Afghans and have a different culture / beliefs.

There is a history of Hazaras being sought out and murdered by the Taliban for being different.

Predicting bad times for the heros and good times for the baddies.

I would love Serena to have her baby removed at birth and given to Rita (I mean I know that’s a horrible thing to wish and would never wish that on any other woman….but….it’s Serena…and she’s a fictional character so that’s ok 😁) however I suspect we are all going to be left super frustrated by the Waterford’s getting a happy ending (to the season at least) and June getting herself into trouble/danger.

I’m convinced June is going to go back into Gilead for Hannah and possibly Nick as things aren’t really working out in Canada. Tuello has let her down, she feels like a spare part at home, the Waterford’s will be free….

Sounds plausible. I will hopefully be watching tonight. Can't wait, but also feel that sometimes the finale gets built up so much and then it's a bit of a let down. Also hate the fact that when it's finished we will be waiting for probably a year to see what happens next!

I really need Serena to feel the pain she's put womankind through.

I hope her baby is removed from her when it's born, and ideally (poor child though) given back to Gilead.

In the next season it could then lead to Serena repenting and becoming onside of June.

Does anyone know where things are with series 5? Have they even started filming yet? And will series 5 be the last one? There were suggestions a while ago that Hulu were planning on making 10 series, but I saw a reference in the paper this week that suggests the next series might be the last one. Any ideas?

Season 5 has been confirmed.

It's breathtaking that after being the architects of Gilead, Fred wants his son to "grow up free" and Serena is horrified at the prospect of being a handmaid. Bastards, the pair them. True politicians.

I don't think we'll have a happy ending for the Waterfords, I think they'll give us the illusion of one with them walking free but then June will plan her revenge. Maybe she'll kidnap the baby or something, but I really can't see them living happily ever after.

Ooh, what of June takes their baby and then tries to do a trade for Hannah with Gilead?

(Yes I know that's highly unlikely but I like some wild speculation)

Or maybe Luke will do it. He finally snaps after spending all these years calm and dignified while trying to cope without his wife and daughter. He snatched the Waterford baby and escapes to the Gilead bronzers to negotiate Hannah's freedom with Nick.

As much as I’m looking forward to the finale, Sunday’s will be so dull without it. Not only will I miss watching it but will miss talking about it here.

Yes it felt to me like we are being set up for her to go back into Gilead for Hannah. Canada has failed her and the people she loves most are there (sorry Luke). And she now knows where Hannah is…

Suppose she kills Fred, THEN goes to Gilead? You know how things have to keep getting worse and worse for the protagonist to keep things interesting? June being wanted in two countries instead of one would really step things up a notch.

But Hannah is terrified of her and doesn't know her. Even without all the obstacles surrounding Hannah physically, could June take her by persuasion? She'd have to snatch her.

I actively seek out information on what is happening next, (I prefer to know what's coming) and if what I found online is correct, tonight's is a doozie. But I can't bear the thought of another 6 series ie. 10 in all which is what someone upthread said was planned.

Hannah being terrified adds another layer of challenge for June and interest for the viewer. Lots of conflict and room for Unsympathetic June!

I think they had the option to make up to 10 series but I suppose it's down the them if they take it that far.
