Ghosts Series 3 the bingewatchers' thread *includes spoilers*

Setting up the bingeing thread which, same as last year, works parallel to the concurrent one which is TV pace.
This thread is for those of us with no willpower to discuss the whole series freely.
Episode 2 with the loose women references and Pat/Kitty's dance routine was joyous was my favourite from the six.
But the whole series works - whether it's willy-shaped chess pieces or butt jokes. It's just a lovely ensemble. I also thought Mary had better lines/more to her part this time around.

I really, really hope there is a 4th series!

It is perfection. But I kind of understand what they are saying.

It may sound macabre but I would love to see the death stories we have yet to see before they are all sucked off. ✨

Have they said whether there is another Christmas episode this year? I would love another Christmas episode as the last one is my favourite of all the episodes.

I can see what the RT article is saying. But I still want another series! They only briefly touch on Annie, the ghost that got sucked off - surely there are more of those. We never saw the Gatehouse B&B - where is it, not at the entrance that the ghosts can't pass. We don't know how Kitty died still, although we could guess I suppose. We don't know how the others got used to being ghosts. Do we know how the Captain died? He and Kitty have no obvious wounds. There's still some unanswered bits.

I don’t think I could manage Mary’s death story or the Captain’s death.

Not without a box of tissues, a cup of coffee you could stand a spoon in and my body weight in chocolate.

If they are going to finish it though (and I hope not!) I need to know.

I would like to see them all being sucked off into the light though. They owe us that! ✨

I hope we get to see Annie again and learn more about her.

I love this series so so much. I though this one was less LOL funny, but so full of pathos. The ghosts are her family. They’d do anything for her. She is so patient tho, I’d go mad with them all following me all the time.

I did start to think her and Mike were drifting apart a bit, not sure if I read too much into it?

Fantastic!

I love, love, love this series...but... I'm really starting to get bored with Thomas. He only seems to have 2 facets to his character - being obsessed with Alison/Lucy/the woman he got in a duel for and writing bad poetry. We know how he died and he just says and does more or less the same things every episode now. I'd happily see him sucked off and replaced with another character perhaps.

I liked the therapy angle - it opened up opportunities for the ghosts to learn things about themselves and develop. I think Thomas is ripe for that - we’ve already seen that he even romanticised his own death! A more realistic view of life could be good for him, and might even make his a good poet.

I‘ve never warmed to Thomas. His best moment this series was the nod to how the ghosts can sit, bit of a fourth wall type thing.

My DD12 was very annoyed because she felt they wasted Kitty‘s episode by showing us what we already knew, ie that her sister was mean to her.

Me, I just rewatch Robin worrying about his core over and over. Sure I could help with that

Yes, I thought that too. He's extremely tolerant of the whole situation, especially considering that they often make his life more difficult. I guess they have come to the rescue on a few occasions now though.

The other slight fourth wall thing I liked was Robin’s “there no such thing as ghosts, but..”

I find Thomas funny . He is exactly what he's supposed to be imo. A self absorbed 'artist' who has his head in the clouds.
