Ghosts Series 3 the bingewatchers' thread *includes spoilers*

Setting up the bingeing thread which, same as last year, works parallel to the concurrent one which is TV pace.
This thread is for those of us with no willpower to discuss the whole series freely.
Episode 2 with the loose women references and Pat/Kitty's dance routine was joyous was my favourite from the six.
But the whole series works - whether it's willy-shaped chess pieces or butt jokes. It's just a lovely ensemble. I also thought Mary had better lines/more to her part this time around.

I really thought that Nicholas was going to wake up and answer one of Pat’s quiz questions...

I had something in my eye when Fanny said "it's still the same girl underneath"

That episode was perfect.

I taped it and watched earlier

I think it was the right mix of comedy and pathos. You could tell that Larry Rickard had co-written that episode

I preferred it to last year's Christmas special too

Lots of fanny jokes. Loved the portrait and the delight of the plague ghosts who must be secret Mat fans 🤣🤣

I see a future in glamping with Nicholas as handyman 😄

@diddl there was an Australian programme pretty similar, I started watching that on Prime a while back but stopped halfway through the first series. It was really good, but it made me view Ghosts differently because it was earlier, & I didn’t want to ruin it.

That looks quite good but part of Ghosts charm is the chemistry between the cast. Don't know if that would be there in the American version

I won’t watch the American one, I was just so surprised that it’s copied exactly. From the scout leader with an arrow in his neck to the politician without his trousers!

Fabulous news.

I’ve seen the American version and, although it has its moments, it pales in comparison with the original. The chemistry is just one factor, but it is a big one. The couple act like two high school kids who have been thrown together and who hope they never have to kiss.
The only ghost with any presence is the Hetty character, the American Fanny. The rest are more like caricatures than characters.
But then I have been spoiled by the original.
By the way, although I really do get the Ben and Larry love, (because, how could I not?), I will take Jim. (Not Pat, bless him, but Jim.)
