Lighthearted and a chance to vent!

Right now for me it's the Dairy Milk icecream one (Magnum ripoff), where the kid is grating chocolate onto vanilla ice cream, and then pouring melted chocolate on it...an older guy (meant to be a brother or parent?) then gets two Dairy Milk ice creams out of the freezer and tells the kid he can have one after he's cleared the mess up. Tagline is "You already know blah blah blah"

Grinds my gears because it's just so stupid! Surely the kid would already know those ice creams are already in the freezer? When I was kid we knew exactly what was in the fridge and freezer at all times!

And the only thing I already know about Dairy Milk chocolate is that it's now vile...

The Pot Noodle "supertaaaaaaaastyyy". I have to turn it off

Pinkflipflop85 · 02/07/2021 20:02

@ThedaBara

The cat treat one (dreamies?) Where the guy doesn't have a cat but buys some cat treats to lure cats in to his house and pretend they're his for a woman he's dating. I know it's not that deep but I was thinking rape by deception!!
I find this advert disturbing for the same reason!
PerciphonePuma · 02/07/2021 20:08

I find radio ads the worst....

midsomermurderess · 02/07/2021 21:02

I still find their singing annoying. Don't be do patronising, to me, to them. Blimey, the amount of pompous policing that goes on here these days

Erm. Slightly harsh!
SaltedCaramelIcedLatte · 02/07/2021 21:21

The Go Compare ads...all of them, bloody hate them!!

Standrewsschool · 02/07/2021 21:31

Tesco “Every Little help”. Every little what helps? Surely it should be “Every little bit helps”

Eggnoggoanngoanngoann · 02/07/2021 22:01

The Scottish one to entice younger people to get the covid vaccine..the girl at the beginning spinning dj decks makes me cringe and her voice is annoying af. Its like shes trying super hard to have the most scottish accent you have ever heard... eeurrggh..whole thing is awful...suprised it didnt put 18-30 year olds off lol.

Mollypolly2610 · 02/07/2021 22:16

As above I TOTALLY agree with you. It’s really awful.

Isolemnlyscare · 02/07/2021 22:17

Perf with bloody serf, even the kids say 'mum that annoying womans on the tele again'

Mother87 · 02/07/2021 22:31

The perfume ad where three women say "Daisy Daisy Daisy"AngryAngryAngry

TikkaMoSalah · 02/07/2021 22:36

The McDonalds one where various people, or groups of people start laughing and can't stop. If it's supposed to make the viewer laugh it has the opposite effect on me, it makes me cringe... I think it's because all the laughing sounds false to me

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 02/07/2021 22:38

@PanamaPattie

Nationwide poems, the Domino's one where they yodel, the pay by card one where they go "ooooooooooooooooooooooooh" and the one with the squirrel and oat bars.
That 'ooooooooooohhh' advert is easily the worst thing I have EVER seen on TV- and I used to watch Eldorado.

I also hate the Oral B advert explaining how dentists clean their teeth in their own homes! Who knew?

AntiWorkBrigade · 02/07/2021 22:45

So many to choose from, but it has to be the meerkats for me. I’ve never liked them - an old colleague once quite seriously suggested I was a bad person for disliking them - but I thought back then that their time would pass. 500 years on and they’re still grinding out these ‘amusing’ adverts.

Holothane · 02/07/2021 22:51

Do not get me started, that dreadful ooooo one it is awful. In fact most of them now.

Heathcliff27 · 02/07/2021 22:53

Fillipo berrio, fillipo berrio, fillipo berrio

safariboot · 03/07/2021 02:43

"Every little helps" was an expression before Tesco used it though.

Pinuporc · 03/07/2021 07:15

Oral B " I didnt even know they toothpaste!"
And the incontinence pants one (possibly always) "a little bit of wee doesnt stop me being me!"

Usernameisgone · 03/07/2021 07:17

Perf with Surf gives me the rage.😂

lancashirelady · 03/07/2021 07:25

The wowcher advert drives me up the wall Angry

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 03/07/2021 07:38

Anything that involves crunching of slurping or making an unnecessary noise.

Currently it is the chap who is sucking his fingers at the start of the advert. I don’t give a flying one if it is finger licking good.

He’s probably just scratched his harris or baws with the same hand.

Mink.

EssexCat · 03/07/2021 07:43

There’s an Amazon Alexa one about whether to put jam or cream on a scone first and the moyjer says to her daughter ‘but darling you’re cornish’ in the LEAST West Country voice ever.

She has a really bland luvvie theatrical voice - why wouldn’t you at least use someone with a little bit of a burr.

Irrational levels of annoyance for me - it really fucking grinds my gears 🤣🤣

dorothygaleandtoto · 03/07/2021 07:57

The Ikea ones designed to shame us into keeping up with the Jones'. Ooh, look at your terrible kitchen, wouldn't it be awful if someone was to see your decrepit kitchen. And Christmas is coming, what will Aunty Pat think of your old cabinets!?!?! She won't give a fig, Ikea, because she's here to see us, not the decor.

Pinuporc · 03/07/2021 08:04

It annoys me that no one over probably 60 really appears on an ad (apart from wills or equity release)
Even products that will predominantly bought by older consumers (stair lifts, bath seats, mobility aids, denture cream, tena pants etc) are virtually all advertised by much younger people.

PuppyMonkey · 03/07/2021 08:05

Isn’t it a weird, I’m reading through all these and none ring a bell - probably because I wouldn’t watch something with adverts these days - just Netflix, Now and Prime! Grin
