Cardboard cutout bear, I hasten to add.

Not an actual BEAR, bear.

When I was at uni, we nicked a lifesize cutout of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow from Woolies. We put a coat on it and walked out either side of it like we were supporting a mate who'd had a bit much to drink. He lived on the landing in our halls of residence and frequently scared the crap out of overnight visitors popping to the loo Grin

@Mycatismadeofstringcheese

I’ve just caught up.

Trying to work out how I can sneak a life sized cut out of Patrick Grant out of Hobby Craft without anyone noticing.

We can have a lovely cup of tea and discuss how much we enjoy an even flange. Grin

I'm mostly a lurker here but thought I'd pop in to say I work in a supermarket and if someone asks for a cardboard ad and it isn't one we have to return to the supplier (eg Disney bc theyre strict on copyright/licences etc) then it would on end up in our bins, so we are always happy to give them away once we don't need it if someone has asked.

If you can bring yourself to ask the staff, they might let you take him freely and willingly Grin

Hi all, long time lurker coming out of the sewing room to ask if anyone has found a pattern for Oxford bags?

My DS(18) happened to see bits of episode 9 and announced that he would like a pair of Oxford bags - I have a Kwik Sew pattern for men's trousers with a pleat but apparently that is too boring. He wants the full on Northern soul bags! Grin Thanks for any pointers!

Binglebong · 19/06/2021 22:08

Apparently cream trousers of an oxford bags style are very in for women just now. I saw it in a magazine so it must be true.

This is PATRICK.

All the staff probably have dibs on him.

You know, for all the grumbles about current challenges, the final of series 3 has left me pissed off.

Neil should have won but inexplicably blew it in the final. Matt was also very good though.

I agree Neil was definitely the best, but not in the final. It was sch a good series, number 3.

Was just watching Peter glazing a cake on Instagram and realised that Edinburgh University now has the bake off champion and the sewing bee. Perhaps they are now on the hunt for a potter so that they can win lottery throw down as well !

Lottery throwdown 😂 Will you be pitching that to Channel 4?

I'm still pissed off about that final, and I did wonder at one point last Wednesday if it was going to be a similar outcome this final. Neil and Lorna were the front runners and although Matt was good I was surprised he won first place.

I was wondering if Lorna's family found it nice having her on the tv, so they can see her whenever they wanted?
