Emily Mortimer’s best friend, kids and mother are all in this. It is dripping with nepotism and that’s enough to have put me right off.

Oh dear, thought the trailer was just a glossy advert - didn’t realise they’d carry on the modern (ish) music in the actual programme. It’s ruined it.

Somebody should re-edit the whole thing with appropriate for the time soundtrack and I’d like it a lot more.

I didn’t want to watch it but DH put it on anyway. Surprised myself by enjoying it

I think it's lily James I find her really annoying !!

Me too - she has ruined so many films for me - I just find her presence in films very annoying.

I am sure that in real life she is absolutely lovely but I cannot stand her I'm on the screen.

I sat through it hoping it would get better after really looking forward to a bit of quality telly. So terribly disappointed. What was all the 70s music about? It's made me want to re -read the book though.

Andrew Scott does make everyone else look piss poor. How did he agree to be in this mess? Did he know it would be butchered with modern music?
