I've always thought Kate's sexuality was ambiguous and I can't work out now if she is just being a supportive friend to Jo or if there's more to it.

I also cheered when the graffiti alleyway came into shot. LOD really is like a familiar old friend.

Is Chloe Roz Huntleys daughter??
She was a student in that series so may be old enough to be Chloe.
Is the bearded man in the van Roz Huntleys ex Nick he was a former mate of Jimmy Lakewell?
Think Ryan and Jo and Buckels are all involved in the OCG at some level.
I knew Ryan would be driving the car that picked Jo up and surely she would not have called Farida a rat to a lower ranked colleague very unprofessional, and if anything she seems to work by the book.
Definitely think Jo was playing Kate keeping her enemy's close, paid off because she tipped her off after her chat in the tunnel with Steve about the raid on MIT.

Why would Jimmy be interviewed in prison about police corruption? It doesn't seem logical (to me).

Can't see why there's any link to Roz or Nick Huntley either, the man in the van was definitely not him or Nige. Taj Atwal was in the last series and she got the role in the Syndicate so wasn't available for this series apparently. So AC-12 simply needed a new DC to help wee Steve.

I wonder if we will see the Jetty of Death this series, where the social worker, ACC Hilton and Maneet were all found.

I cheered when Ted said “bent coppers” though I’d have liked him to have said “nicking bent coppers”

When they said the fingerprints on the knife were Alistair’s I said “are they asking us to believe that wee slip of a rent boy slit his throat?”. DP mocked me and I was delighted when Ted made the same point later.

The rest of the series is going to be AC12 and Kate figuring out what's been going on. I suspect we're going to have a race to catch Ryan with someone being in mortal danger at his hands as the denouement of the series. We'll find out who H is shortly before this, but that won't be the crux of the story by then

Is Steph going to be the one in danger & Ted can't help her so it's left to Steve to save the day?

Also what's the background/story with the new DS Chris Lomax?
(Every time I see Perry Fitzgerald in LoD I half expect Mobeen to come galumphing through the door. Perry played PC Harper in Man Like Mobeen)

Is it relevant or what is the relevance of the camera lingering on DS Lomax when he was sat at his desk twirling his fidget fiddle toy around in his hand?
And is there are relevance to Buckells having a golf caddy in his office?

No spoilers means UK TV pace surely, so if someone hasn't watched Ep 2 yet they need to avoid the thread!

A spoiler would be me saying ooh, I live in Belfast and saw the filming-Ted holding a big tiger, and Steve with a bloodied arm, or I've been on imdb and Angelina Jolie is credited as Sally Fleming for Ep 4, maybe Kate's sister ?

Yes to me any weekly pace TV thread means the currently aired episode is fine but not beyond that. I just avoid threads if I watch on catch up (and have learned to avoid fb too after various spoilers about other shows!)

Kate or Jo or Farida will die. A bullet maybe.

I'm really liking Davidson. Just intrigues me.
