@Dobbyafreeelf

They've probably guilt tripped him into coming home to look after his siblings, like his poor sister who tried to go to uni but ended up in the magic pie shop.

@CovidCrow that is totally untrue!!! Noel and Sue encouraged Chloe to stay at her university but she wanted to return home. She transferred to her local university. She then decided working with children wasn't for her. Then she started working for the business.
At least one of their sons also works for the business as well.

Hi Sue Dobby Grin

I'm not surprised Chloe decided working with children wasn't for her - it's all she's ever known, poor girl!!! She needs a change of scene.

I don't imagine any of the children have done/will do well academically, they get no support at home and there's nowhere to focus to do homework or revise for exams.

Dobbyafreeelf · 26/02/2021 17:48

@Limer I can assure you I am most definitely not Sue 😂
I've just been very bored and watched too many of their YouTube videos!

AaronPurr · 26/02/2021 17:48

it's not just the pie shop it's the tv and YouTube channels too. Plus they are gifted somethings. They absolutely do not need help from benefits

But they do recieve benefits and would struggle without them. I have no problem with this, but I do have a problem with the family trying to portray that the bakery pays for everything. Also the TV money and YT money will definitely help, but they had plenty of years before those 2 revenue streams, and even now it's not a steady or reliable source of money.

whatsthestory123 · 26/02/2021 17:54

i dont get why they had to shut the pie shop most food places have done very well through covid

the only thing i can think is its was financially better of claiming grants and furlough or with all the kids at home Sue could not cope on her own with all of them at home all day

CovidCrow · 26/02/2021 18:06

Hi Sue Dobby Grin

😂

If not Sue probably one of the 'e's Wink

Dobbyafreeelf · 26/02/2021 18:17

@CovidCrow just because I've corrected you on what you have posted doesn't mean I'm one of the radfords. I'm not I don't know them. My posting history will show that! As I have said I have watched their channel. I really dislike the way people on this thread are determined to twist the truth to suit their own narrative!

Same4Walls · 26/02/2021 18:24

That's exactly what the Radfords and their 'fans' do though. The vast majority of things said on this thread are not lies. It suits the Radfords to highlight only parts of their lives that fit with their narrative. They conviniently ignore the fact they claim benefits, their elder girls raise and mother the littles and the that the vast majority of their children are neglected emotionally.

No you assume they are emotionally neglected based on a few minutes of tv. Your twisting it to suit YOUR narrative. You want to dislike them so you are twisting things. Unless you live in that house you don't know what is happening. None of us do. Your making huge assumptions.
SquirtleSquad · 26/02/2021 18:37

People don't assume they are emotionally neglected because of what's shown on TV. They assume that because it is just simply impossible for each and every one of those children to receive the dedicated 1:1 time and support they deserve from their parents.

Exactly. It's got nothing to do with not liking them or wanting to make my own narrative but how anyone can argue truthfully believing that their needs are all met is absolutely beyond me. It's simply not possible for them to not be emotionally neglected due to the sheer amount of them and the limited amount of hours in the day.
Springinmystep82 · 26/02/2021 18:43

When they had fajitas for tea and even the older ones only had one each I was thinking my kids would never cope with that or are my kids just really greedy!! Grin

Exactly. I've seen plenty of posters on here with 3 or 4 children who have said they feel it's impossible to give them enough 1-1 time. Being one of 22, with a new baby almost every year, and one parent out working most of the day means there will be plenty of children being overlooked and issues that could easily fly under the radar.
creepingthyme · 26/02/2021 18:49

Chloe clearly stated on one of the programs that she felt she should move to a local university as Sue was pregnant and had previously had a miscarriage, so the poor girl was terrified that something bad was going to happen and she wanted to be on hand should the worst happen. Sue was beaming from ear to ear, she absolutely did not encourage her to stay on.

I used to watch this family with a mix of intrigue and admiration. They have become grabby, greedy and forgotten their supposed frugal ways. I fear for them in 5 years time when the media money dries up and they have to go back to their days of sharing clothes and Primark sales. It will be a massive shock to their system.

BikeRunSki · 26/02/2021 18:50

Hi Sue Dobby Grin

That would be Dobbie.

I thought that too. We’re only a family of 4, however when both our adult sons were home we’d go through 2 packs of wraps yet they said they go through 4. They must fill up on crap.

I, also, noticed that Tillie was eating a plate of plain mashed potato despite Noel saying they only make one dinner. Hmm

CovidCrow · 26/02/2021 20:12

Exactly. I've seen plenty of posters on here with 3 or 4 children who have said they feel it's impossible to give them enough 1-1 time.

I have 4 really close in age and yes, when they were little, it was terribly difficult to give them each individual attention. As a pp said a holiday was rarely relaxing keeping tabs on 4 kids near the pool/sea, I was constantly doing a headcount to make sure one hadn't gone under.

Things like going to clubs or other kid's parties/sleepovers must be incredibly difficult to manage with 20 odd kids, they must miss out on so much. Not to mention the medical/educational side of things. Two of mine have dyslexia - picked up by me not the school. Would the Radfords have any idea if any of their kids had problems? I doubt it.

Also like others I'm surprised there hasn't been a serious accident with all those kids running wild with little supervision.

Limer · 26/02/2021 20:35

BikeRunSki That would be Dobbie
BRILLIANT Grin

CovidCrow I think you're spot on saying that the kids must miss out on so much. I expect in the future there'll be a big warts-and-all scoop from one or more of them, telling the real story.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 26/02/2021 20:39

@Dobbyafreeelf That was Tillie and she didn't have an injury (or at least not initially). When she was a toddler she had a seizure and they couldn't stop it. They had to put a line into the bone in her shin. The line became infected and damaged the growth plate in her leg. So one leg doesn't grow at the same rate. Last year she spent several months having her leg lengthened hence the frame and crutches. She also had a fall at school and broke the top of her leg whilst this was all going on

The fall happened at home, they've said that since it happened. I'm pretty sure she wasn't even attending school at the time, but i know for sure that they have always said the fall happened at home

Same4Walls · 26/02/2021 20:46

I shall be absolutely amazed if there isn't. It's quite likely one or more of them will see it as a way to get attention from their parents. I suspect in that sort of set up any attention even for something such as writing a tell all book or doing a no holds bar interview is still better than no attention. I strongly suspect that's why some of the girls will also be teen mums so they get Sue's attention when they have babies.

Oh do fuck off! Go check my post history and you will see I have not a Redford!!!
SquirtleSquad · 26/02/2021 21:46

Your posting history as far as I can see shows your first activity as being this month, the month the documentary aired.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that one of them joined mumsnet, made a few odd comments in random threads to make a slightly shit fake trail behind them for the purposes of defending the inevitable backlash that ensues every time they announce another pregnancy or launch a new show.

I'm not saying that's what I believe, necessarily, but checking your history means very little. Anyone can be anyone on an anonymous forum.

I think if you were a Radford then the very true and accurate statements here regarding the statutory rape and grooming would have been deleted by HQ by now.

Dobbyafreeelf · 26/02/2021 22:09

My posting history goes back 8 years!!!

SquirtleSquad · 26/02/2021 22:17

I said as far as I can see which is what shows up on my search. I also said I didn't think that was necessarily the case. Stranger things have happened at sea!

Chanel05 · 27/02/2021 07:56

@Limer

I remember reading this and thinking the same! Her own mother should have been a life lesson in itself that unprotected sex can, and does lead to pregnancy.

Good point. Alternatively, she's seen her own mother faffing about with ovulation sticks and constantly wanting to be pregnant, so maybe she thought it wasn't that likely?

You're probably right there!!! When I was ttc (in desperation for a couple of years!) I sometimes actually thought to myself, 'What is her secret?!'
