I wonder how Noel was ever approved a mortgage for their home if he only takes a minimal wage from the bakery and they have such huge outgoings.

The house was bought 16 years ago according to last night's episode so I'm assuming their circumstances were different then.

Ah, that makes sense. I'll have to look up how many children they had back then. If anything happens to Sue or Noel health wise they will be in such a terrible situation. It's good that Noel is trying to keep fit and active. Exercise must relieve a lot of stress for him!

I just watched a few mins of 15 kids and counting, it made so much sense that they had an actual mini bus back then - such a strange decision to swap to 7 seaters.

They would also have had 9 or 10 kids on tax credits and family allowance. How much per child per week were tax credits then? They would have been getting thousands of pounds per month. More than enough to pay a £250,000 mortgage.

The house was 240k in 2004. They are probably mortgage free now

How come Sophie and Hiedie have the same middle name? I know they have used loads of names on their previous kids, but there’s still loads more out there!

Just been watching 15 kids and counting. The one where Noel took the door handles off, and the £160pw child benefit has been mentioned.

These things never get talked about in later series.

They used to be quite strict about budgeting apart from getting a new pram every time although they did end up paying an extra £400 for fast tracking passports because they left it til the last minute, in the clip linked above.

It seems quite hazardous to have so many people living in that house, surely you'd need separate fire exits. There's rules put in place for Multi Occupancy Housing for fire safety. I wonder what the Health Visitor thinks when they produce yet another baby. Do Millie and Ophelia have their own room?

The house was a bit of a wreck. They are still doing it up now. And no I don't mean redecorating. If you watch recent vlogs they have had just had the roof redone.
Some of the bedrooms are in the basement which they have redone over the years.
Millie and Ophelia are in the basement along with some of the older ones.
This is a few years old but shows the rooms ect.

Oh yeah, I didn’t notice that! That’s even worse because they’re closer in age and have very similar first names! I wonder if there’s a reason for it....

Jack's bedroom has loads of wardrobes in it!

I'm guessing because Sophie Rose is the eldest daughter and Heidie Rose is the youngest (last...) - also Ellie and Tillie are the only girls born in May hence May being their middle names.
