Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

(Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't find one.)

🙏 it lives up to the hype surrounding it.

Takes seat with popcorn ready for 21.00....

CheekyWeeShite · 21/03/2021 09:50

Picked a new name this time.

I absolutely can’t watch tonight - need to rewatch S5 first, only done two episodes. So I’ll be a few days behind.

I can’t take this weekly episodes shit. How did we ever manage before binge watching? This and Better Call Saul are the only things I’ve ever watched weekly - everything else can wait until it’s all available!

CheekyWeeShite · 21/03/2021 09:51

I must say, I didn’t love the end of S5. The whole H thing is getting a bit ridiculous at this point and I’m starting to doubt that Jed has a plan... but we shall see.

WindyPudding · 21/03/2021 09:55

I am SO excited but - boo - I can't watch it until midweek when the DC are at their dad's and I can enjoy it properly with a glass of wine.

It's a national institution and I love how the actors have a laugh about it and play along. It's exactly what I need right now - something reliably escapist and familiar but a new series. CAN'T WAIT

WindyPudding · 21/03/2021 09:56

I don't actually mind plot holes and improbable reveals. I just love the characters, dialogue and guessing games. 😍

WindyPudding · 21/03/2021 09:58

Oh yes AND Kelly MacDonald! Perfection. I find Keeley Hawes hard to watch as she's everywhere and I only see the actor not the character. But Kelly MacDonald is sublime and I always love her.

KaptainKaveman · 21/03/2021 11:49

The long interview sequences are the best bit.

The whole "if you look at the video he's tapping his fingers, it must mean 4 people because there's no other possible explanation" when there are about 19 possible other explanation was indeed a bit meh. Seeing Jill Bigelow get done was much better.

Am I right in saying they've commissioned two more series - so tonight's and one after it? I'm not sure i can take two more series of 'is Ted H or not' Perhaps it was Steve all along. I do hope it's better than Bloodlands.

Exactly this. It’s such a far reach. And it may mean that “H” is a complete misunderstanding. I would love it if the culprit were hiding in plain sight all along and we missed it, but this is so hard to pull off in a film, let alone in a long TV show.

storminabuttercup · 21/03/2021 14:13

Signing in to mark my place. Really excited.

I was thinking if Gill ends up getting a new identify rather than getting sent down she must have revealed some useful info we didn't see?

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 21/03/2021 14:17

I do hope it's better than Bloodlands.

I think I can guarantee, from a position of no knowledge whatsoever, that it will be better than Bloodlands.

I'm anticipating it will be more exciting than Unforgotten - but whether it will be better ...

Anyway, I'm in. Probably lagging behind on iTunes.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/03/2021 14:24

SPOILER ALERT!!!

KLAXONS!!!

I think Kate is "H".

I think "H" stands for "Her".

Grin
SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/03/2021 14:25

(Not really . . . )

But I will not believe anything bad of the lovely Ted.

Ever.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/03/2021 14:26

@Piggywaspushed

BINGO!
YAY!!!!!
AllTheWayFromLondonDAMN · 21/03/2021 14:28

Place marking so I can come back to this for the twists and turns. Excited.

Dailyhandtowelwash · 21/03/2021 14:33

And it may mean that “H” is a complete misunderstanding.

I thought it absolutely DID mean that H was a red herring? The theory changed to Dot having alighted on H because in morse code it’s four dots, ie four people (was never sure whether the fact that his nickname was Dot was part of this!), and had nothing to do with anyone’s name.

This is why it was a bit pants. Everyone is still confused. It definitely has an air of ‘and his fingers pressed four times if you look closely so you’ve won Dusty Bin!’ to it.

Signing in ready for tonight to catch bent coppers.

Maybe it's somebody called Forth!
CheekyWeeShite · 21/03/2021 15:06

But then it’s a bit of coincidence isn’t it, with the actual Hs? This is where I start to get annoyed 😬

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/03/2021 15:08

So many h’s - but fab

Ted can’t be corrupt

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Buggerthebotox · 21/03/2021 15:41

I also think H is a red Herring. In S5 Hargreaves refers to the seized drugs as H. He's offed, later on. The Morse code thing with Dot is daft and clunky. I hope it's a great reveal, but not a person. Like balaclava man, who was more of a symbol in the end and included several balaclava men (women?).

I hope it's going to be clever, however it ends.

I assumed that his nickname was "Dot" because his surname was Cotton.
