I saw a trailer for this the other evening but DC were running around and being loud so I missed most of it. Does anyone know when it’s starting please? I don’t want to miss it as it’s brilliant!

Yes to Cold Feet.

Kitkat151 · 22/03/2021 22:23

@Rillington

The actress playing Dean Barton's mum has been in lots of things. She was Aunt Sal in Birds of a Feather.
Aunty Vera I think
Puffinhead · 22/03/2021 22:23

I don’t think it was any of the suspects - Cassie dying just mirrors what the whole series is about - the breakdown of parent/child relationships.

Dean was able to make some kind of peace with his mum, but Ram and the others haven’t. And now Cassie won’t get the opportunity with her dad. Very sad but I think she’s a goner.

jay55 · 22/03/2021 22:24

I was thinking of Dawson's creek where the dad has an errant ice cream, then smash.

Blinkinblimey · 22/03/2021 22:24

Please say this isn’t the last series! Noooooooo!

Libraryghost · 22/03/2021 22:24

Ram seems too obvious. We have sympathy for Dean because he has a disabled son so we are naturally hoping it’s not him because of his son so that could be the twist. Fiona is off her nut with guilt. What about about Liz? She really snapped with her bitch off a mother ( well overdue) but there is a real simmering anger in her...

Libraryghost · 22/03/2021 22:26

I think Cassie will make it up with her Dad in hospital and then just as you think she is through the worst of it- she will die.

BentBastard · 22/03/2021 22:27

I'm sticking with Liz even though this thread mostly thinks that's a red herring. Fiona said she and Liz split up. What if she found Walsh first and saw him down and seized the moment to stab with pen, then Ram arrives genuinely believing Walsh has died from hitting head on wall.

Liz suggest driving home (with body in boot) because she knows she needs to get rid of head separately because it will prove deliberate pen stabbing rather than fall on a wall.

Puffinhead · 22/03/2021 22:28

We did laugh when Fiona was talking to her family and the police arrived and she mentioned the body - those poor kids! How many revelations can a person take.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2021 22:31

footballfan1963 · 22/03/2021 22:38

When was the sexual assault on Fiona? Did she know Walsh before?

DipSwimSwoosh · 22/03/2021 22:39

Yes BentBastard I like that. I'll go with that. Fiona confuses me though. Why did she tell everyone she was fostered when she wasn't?

callmeH · 22/03/2021 22:39

@unique1986

I thought it was Nicola Walker being killed off.
As she's supposed to be retiring she can't be in another series, if there is one, so it makes sense. Pity, just when she's getting it together with the former Laird of the Glen too!
AngryBananaSund · 22/03/2021 22:39

Who is the actress who plays Mrs Quinn, the mum of Dean Barton, real Dean Quinn?

We are sure we know her, from somewhere

fizbosshoes · 22/03/2021 22:44

Wow considering how slowly the first few episodes moved that was a cracker. I think it wasnt Ram that was too obvious.
Are we assuming "Felix" is one of Dean's criminal brothers? (The illegal import from France)
I was also curious about the actress who played Dean's mum and the actor who is the senior policeman interviewing Liz Baildon when the others came for questioning.i think he might have been in Corrie?

AngryBananaSund · 22/03/2021 22:49

Mrs Quinn turns out to be Kate Williams, Love Thy Neighbour,

Quadrophenia

Etc, etc

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 22/03/2021 22:56

Aunt Sal in Birds of a Feather was played by Olive from On The Buses I think. Showing my age there Grin.

Rhubarb01 · 22/03/2021 23:08

I guess Cassie could get pensioned off quicker on health grounds after an accident like that, if she survives.

MotherofTerriers · 22/03/2021 23:08

I spent ages searching for who played Mrs Quinn. Should have just popped in here

CovoidOfAllHumanity · 22/03/2021 23:10

I think it was Fiona Grayson

She has killed someone with a car before
Her confession to the kids was a desperate final last act
She's lying about what happened on the night. She's been a habitual liar her whole life so it seems
The sexual assault is a motive

unique1986 · 22/03/2021 23:14

I wonder if Fiona never had romantic feelings for her partner.

minou123 · 22/03/2021 23:16

I agree.

I am going to call it, before next weeks final episode, and state Fiona is the murderer.

Smudgeis13 · 22/03/2021 23:17

I expect the good fountain pen was a graduation gift to one of them

Smudgeis13 · 22/03/2021 23:18

Gold. Not good. But both really.

NellePorter · 22/03/2021 23:22

Who is the actress playing Monty, the old landlady of the pub? I can't remember what she's been in before!
