I saw a trailer for this the other evening but DC were running around and being loud so I missed most of it. Does anyone know when it’s starting please? I don’t want to miss it as it’s brilliant!

I couldn't really process the flashbacks, they went too quickly! Can anyone remember what they were for each character pls? I think Fiona's included drugs and sex but I didn't get the others...

Felix clearly has a hold on Dean. Maybe he knows something about what happened 30 years ago? Maybe Felix is the tall guy seen chasing the victim with Ram.
I assumed the tall guy was Foggarty (the dead guy who had the freezer in his house)

I think I mentioned blackmailing in a previous post. I thought Liz was being blackmailed by Foggerty. Guardian seems to think similar..

@RedRiverShore Cracker was brilliant - it may be affected by the passage of time but I loved it. Could certainly be grim - the one with Susan Lynch really stuck in my mind. The crime stories are all done over two or three episodes so you could watch these separately but there were character stories that continued throughout.

Back to Unforgotten, that Ram Sidhu character is freaking horrible isn't he. When he was talking to this wife (partner?) about continuing with the pregnancy I just couldn't help thinking it was all lip service. That if it turned out to be tough going he'd just feck off. There's no sign of his other children is there (though I suppose the could be adults now). But as mentioned he's far too much of an obvious baddy to be involved in this (plus did we even get a flashback for him?)

The flashback were too quick for me too - so I'm off to have a look at that link

I thought this. Wasn't it at night after a party ? But both witnesses could tell one of the men running across a park was Asian?

I wonder how reliable the witnesses are.

Fiona's BIL - Shock

Liz seems hard as nails. I worry for the safety of everyone who crosses her. Again, how did Fogarty die?? I guess the possibility that he was blackmailing her is as likely as that her mother is. Something's draining the money that ought to be paying for a childminder for Eugenia. So I'm hoping Fiona will leave a trail of breadcrumbs when she travels incognito to meet Liz ... But maybe together they might separate predatory BIL's head from his neck.

Unlike others here I'm rather taken with Ram and want to see him exonerated.

Not sure about Dean. Previously evil, now redeemed??

Love those interviews. The police acting is so detailed and crafty.

Glad you said that pursuing. I said last night while watching that I get the feeling he's a decent guy in substance but has been thoroughly hardened from years of likely racism and having to play the game to get ahead in the Police.

No to both.

At least I think so. In the first episode, her partner was talking to his children about getting a mother's day card for their mother. Then this episode she said to creepy BIL to change her name 'as if [partner's name] and I were married'.

I don't think Deam is evil, even formally. I reckon he got caught p in smuggling to make money. It does see all of them have money issues. So there could be something int hat as mentioned up thread

We already know the 4 involved but I feel like we haven't learnt anything new about them or what happened at all yet.

...still love it though.

Maybe the slowness is part of the attraction. I like finding out what's at stake for each of the characters - and how far they have gone in the past (and therefore might again) to protect whatever matters to them ...

I do agree, and enjoy finding out those things too. Just think this series after 3 episodes all we've really established is which 4 people are involved, and we knew that by the end of the first episode!

I'm beginning to wonder ... If you're reluctantly storing a frozen corpse, it might be convenient to have it turn up in the possession of someone too dead to protest their own innocence ...

All four were smart enough to have dumped the body on Fogarty to shift the focus of guilt. Just not smart enough to outwit Cassie and Sunny.
