I remember Sophie and Mel's death on Hollyoaks in 2006 the earliest.

Playschool, Camberwick Green, Trumpton, Bagpuss, & Mr Benn. And the test card, when waiting for the two lunchtime children’s programmes to start, then I think mum watched Pebble Mill at One.

Playschool. I adored Floella Benjamin.
I was actually going to say Charles and Diana’s wedding too but, like a previous poster said, I actually think it was the first time I watched something on a video because I remember fast forwarding and rewinding and watching everything moving so quickly. And it was in colour. Mind Completely Blown.

The Clangers/Magic Roundabout/Blue Peter

Offskki · 09/01/2021 07:04

Either the test card or button moon.

Skipsurvey · 09/01/2021 07:05

I remember clearly watching a storm in the Onedin Line and then we had a power cut!

Miltonkeynesmummy · 09/01/2021 07:16

Puddle lane
Grotbags (terrifying)

hauntedvagina · 09/01/2021 07:29

Button moon.

NoMeatIsHumane · 09/01/2021 07:38

Will o the wisp and Button Moon.

LibraryMummy79 · 09/01/2021 10:06

The Flumps and Trumpton.

Also vividly remember the intro to Dallas, which my mum used to watch in the evenings, and the intro to some Invisible Man drama my parents used to watch which involved the Invisible Man removing his bandages slowly and scared the pants off me.

Thunder cats and a darts programme (bullseye?)

HippyChickMama · 09/01/2021 10:21

Dm and one of our neighbours both worked pt and shared childcare. I have a very clear memory of watching Button Moon in our house with neighbour's daughter on our tiny black and white tv and eating macaroni cheese. Would have been very early 80s. I also remember watching a (pirate 😳) video of ET on our other neighbour's Betamax player that he used to bring round as we didn't have one. He was divorced and at weekends he'd bring his Betamax and tapes round and he and his dc would have dinner with us and we'd all watch a film. Different world, my dc can't imagine a world without Netflix, Prime, Disney+ etc

Playschool back in the 70's, and Rainbow.

PistolKnight · 09/01/2021 10:28

Chorlton and the wheelies which is odd-after looking it was on ITV and ITV was 'not to be watched' 😂

JustDanceAddict · 09/01/2021 10:35

Children’s TV in the ‘70s like Camberwick Green etc.

Clawdy · 09/01/2021 12:41

I went to play at a little friend's house when I was in reception class. It was many years ago and we didn't have a tv back home, so I was absolutely enchanted when we sat down to watch Bill and Ben. I still remember the " Was it Bill, or was it Ben?" song, and my friend pointing and saying "It must be Ben, I can see the B!"

EssentiallyDelighted · 09/01/2021 12:51

Olga Korbut the gymnast in the 1972 Olympics

Somebodyotherthanme · 09/01/2021 12:54

The test card or Andy Pandy.

Mags5Bia · 09/01/2021 13:52

It would either be Blue Peter - Tina Heath and Christopher Wenner's last episode - or The Paul Daniel's Magic Show.

SomewhatBored · 09/01/2021 13:54

Bagpuss - the chocolate biscuit episode Grin.

jambeforeclottedcream · 09/01/2021 14:03

These puppets from Live & Kicking and the competition to win the duck hair dryer circa 1995

That magic pen show and Pippin again mid 90s

Harold Bishops's glasses on the beach after he went missing and Helen dying on Neighbours. I thought it was real and it upset me for days.

mum2jakie · 09/01/2021 17:16

One of Playschool (with Big Ted and Jemima), Mr Benn, Pigeon Street or Bagpuss!

mum2jakie · 09/01/2021 17:17

...or maybe Button Moon, the Flumps or Trumpton! Classic kids TV

letsgomaths · 09/01/2021 17:19

Play School. Funnily enough, I was watching a vintage episode (from 1979) on Youtube last night. Also Postman Pat.

Shosha1 · 09/01/2021 17:40

Bill and Ben, Andy Pandy.
