Anyone else watching?

New series started tonight. Bonkers toff from SW London wants to convert a building in a cemetery.

I completely agree.

They seem an unusual couple.

cattypussclaw · 20/01/2021 21:44

I bet he builds his house properly, not like the boxes made of ticky-tacky that he builds for his job that no doubt leave people with years of legal battles to get things fixed Hmm

SoupDragon · 20/01/2021 21:44

They don't seem like a couple, just two people who are together. It's a bit odd.

Bunchup · 20/01/2021 21:46

They actually seem to hate one another.

I bet Nathan's first wife is pissing herself.

scrivette · 20/01/2021 21:48

I wonder if she was the OW.

The house looks good from the outside, it's huge!

SoupDragon · 20/01/2021 21:50

I think that's a bit harsh. There's no indication of that.

SoupDragon · 20/01/2021 21:52

Why is there a drowning hazard pit in the garden?!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/01/2021 21:54

Great staircase for toddlers.

I think it's probably to collect rain water and avoid flooding. Some new developments near me have a feature like this. It might not always have water in it. But maybe it's just an ugly pond.
SoupDragon · 20/01/2021 21:55

Open plan toilet! 😱

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/01/2021 21:55

I don't like the ensuite bathroom. Not much privacy.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/01/2021 21:56

No doors on the bathroom....

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/01/2021 21:56

Prefer the annex

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/01/2021 21:56

@DobbyTheHouseElk

Prefer the annex
So do I.

Most likely it is fir flooding given the location but it was the slope down
To the hidden water... the stuff of nightmares with children! They'd better have good fencing planned.

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/01/2021 21:59

The children will have fallen down the stairs before they get as far as that.

SoupDragon · 20/01/2021 22:00

Maybe it will all look better when it has weathered and the landscaping has settled but I'm not a fan of either house or annex really.

Frodont · 20/01/2021 22:00

The house wasn't for me.

It was Kevin's comment at the beginning that made me wonder he said that 'His life was completely turned upside down when he met Amy'.

Yes that house was so dangerous and the water outside
quarentini · 20/01/2021 22:04

It was just so big and soulless.
But it's not mine and so long as they are happy

Imagine one person lying in bed while the other does a poo just the other side of that wall.
bibliomania · 20/01/2021 22:14

I said exact same thing, Dietrich. Passion-killer supreme.

Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 20/01/2021 22:25

There was a stair gate built in to those stairs wasn't there?

My SIL has an ensuite like that in her house - I would rather at least an actual door between me and DH having a shit tbh.

I always wonder where they get their money - his parents clearly aren't wealthy bless 'em!

Its to take the run off water. Its normal in Lincolnshire. Our local leisure centre has two massive ponds like that.
