I'm really glad they've tackled this sensitive storyline.. Its so common in soaps that a man is the abuser like the Whitney and Tony storyline. I think eastenders have done it really well.

Bloody hell that was heavy, very affecting. Not pleasant viewing but a worthy cause and I think we'll done. I think I'm off to give ds a cuddle

That's what I thought too. But I suppose he has been dwelling on the whole thing for months now 🤷🏻‍♀️

Eastenders really pull it out of the bag when it comes to these heavy storylines. I thought that was so well done. Agree with you @CornishTiger that it was a bit quick for him to verbalise it but from an episode point of view I think it had to happen tonight and also I guess it could happen that he was ready to say it in that moment. I think he has known from the start that he was abused but had squashed the thoughts as too horrific to face.

They can't do these things to normal timelines though, it drags it out on much. I think they've done it well by covering the "journey" to his realisation though.

That was extremely well done. Disturbing and well-acted. I just can't even start to understand the motives of a paedophile.

I suppose I found it all a bit too triggering. I’ve been were Mick is. As someone who has taken 24/25 years to recognise an inappropriate relationship as CSE and then only accepted the victim status after about 20 weeks of therapy I wish they had taken their time on this. It would help if the public recognised the journey victims are on and the shift in thinking.

This episode certainly brought 2020 to a close for me in a tricky way but glad they covered it. It was apparent from the start for me. Was it for others?

Nice to see Lee for a bit. Danny Boy Hatchard seems to be better at acting. Unless it's just better in small doses.

Wow - I'm not the biggest DD fan but that was well done, and so sad, I thought, and agree that the use of the Samaritans was excellent and hopefully helpful to many in these difficult times, hugs for you @CornishTiger. Fingers crossed for a some kind of love actually style airport (or whatever) scene with Mick and Linda reuniting (not a spoiler)
