@Pebbledashery

It's also running alive with police most of the time and they don't care about the children either!
BettyCarver · 25/12/2020 23:08

Albert Square is a dangerous place.
You said it Kim

Pebbledashery · 25/12/2020 23:10

I don't know.. I don't feel this year has been as dramatic. Phil and Sharon and Keanu was much better last year.

the80sweregreat · 25/12/2020 23:13

Sharon's poisoned pudding was funny this year though!
I'm not convinced by Max and L. They have only been together 5 mins and he wants to go off with her already.
It's all very strange.

Sharonspoisonedpud · 25/12/2020 23:25

New name for me !
Grin

BrutusMcDogface · 25/12/2020 23:27

I was wondering where the hell albie was?!

Sharonspoisonedpud · 25/12/2020 23:28

Phil asked Sharon who replied at Karens and something about picking him up later.

BrutusMcDogface · 25/12/2020 23:29

Oh, I also thought Karen was in the pub. And, gray is going to shove Tina over onto the knives. Poor Tina; she is an overgrown kid but I like her!

iknowimcoming · 25/12/2020 23:30

Dammit I almost said on here earlier I think phil and Shazza will be teaming up Angry was a bit rubbish IMO. Don't want Jean's cancer back againSad agree ruby looked like a quality street and the dishwasher scenes were Hmm

SinisterBumFacedCat · 25/12/2020 23:47

Ahh we called it on here didn’t we, once again it wasn’t any of the official suspects.

I was really hoping Sharon would just lob the burning Xmas pud at Ian to finish him off.

I think she is going to start slowly poisoning Ian so it looks like an illness.

I wish the writers would leave Jean alone!

tobee · 26/12/2020 07:29

Omg! I caught up with Eastenders and then caught up on here!

I totally didn't see it was Sharon!! And you lot were suggesting Sharon weeks ago o now find out!!!!

So much of EE at the moment is weird and disjointed (distancing?) and I've spent so much time going "huh? Huh?" at so many scenes.

Btw I had a memory flash! Is Kim's little boy Gene? Or am I going mad? Or is that Kellie Bright's real life baby? Or both?

I'd like them to do a bit more with Kim rather than just be loud and lazy. She's quite good at depth.

tobee · 26/12/2020 07:30

Just looked it up Kim's boy is Mika! Of course!

tobee · 26/12/2020 07:32

I wish the Carter's could run the Vic again but don't see how that's possible with Linda being an alcoholic. Plus her and mick aren't in a good place of course.

BettyCarver · 26/12/2020 08:41

Lucas committed multiple murder and kidnap. Didn’t he escape from prison a few years back too? I reckon this must be another break out; surely he wouldn’t be released after all that?

SpanishFly · 26/12/2020 09:24

OK, so how did they film the dinnertable sequence with the Slaters? Are they in a bubble or was it CGI'd to make them all look close together? There was something odd about how it was filmed but I can't out my finger on it. Eg closeups of Kat or Martin only had them in it, ie nobody else near them, but Stacey was right next to Mo and Kush and Ruby. Nobody else was physically beside anyone for the rest of the episode.

I hope Jean just has a scare but finds out that's all it is. She acted that part well, the look of utter panic when she found the lump, like she was going to pass out.

I did get a shock when Martin rejected Stacey , though, I thought he'd have her back. And will he tell Ruby the watch was for her? And will he ask for it back?!

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2020 10:14

If it is poisoning Ian by stealth , it'll be a rehash of the Nick Cotton trying to poison his mum years ago. I've heard of this happening to people in real life too as well !
Ian suspects everyone apart from her too.
The phone she had is bothering me although she obviously had the message saved on her phone all this time! I thought Ian had destroyed that phone previously?
.. bit confused.

SoupDragon · 26/12/2020 10:26

OK, so how did they film the dinnertable sequence with the Slaters? Are they in a bubble or was it CGI'd to make them all look close together?

When they returned to filming they showed some of the tricks they would be using to film scenes. One was to film it twice with a different actor in each time and then splice the shots together so it looked like they were there at the same time. I imagine they used this along with the Perspex screens plus using the actors families for non face shots.

It was all so bloody clever!

SoupDragon · 26/12/2020 10:28

I thought Ian had destroyed that phone previously?

Ian destroyed the Aches work phone which received th message. The message would have been on Denny's phone too and isn't there some confusion on here as to who he sent the voice message to? There may have been two - one to the work phone and one to Sharon which I failed to send. I suppose Denny's phone could have been retrieved from the boat and returned with his things and magically dried out in a bag of rice and the airing cupboard.

SoupDragon · 26/12/2020 10:29

I don't think they'll let this go without Sharon confronting Ian and telling him everything though.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2020 10:44

I guess we are to believe that the original lift of five days restrictions applies here too as regards Christmas. After all the government only changed their minds about all that last week and that was spoke about at the start of December.
Same with a few sitcoms I've seen that were filmed over lockdown too!
The filming with SD in place is clever but it does stop the natural flow of how they interact with each other.
Can't be easy to do.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2020 10:50

My son dropped his phone in about an inch of water and managed to destroy it even with rice and all kinds of things to get it back!
Still, it is only a soap so I'll let it go ! Lol
Will be funny if Sharon is poisoning him slowly! The Nick Cotton one was good back then as Dot thought he had ' found God' and was a reformed character!
Ian trusts Sharon so much. She's all he has left

nancy75 · 26/12/2020 11:01

The thing about destroying the phone was always silly, if Sharon got a new phone on the same contract all the messages/voicemails/pictures just get transferred over to the new phone.

In the next episode I think we’ll see Sharon telling Ian what she’s done & why while she thinks he’s dying but I don’t think he will actually die

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/12/2020 11:16

Surely the crushed up tablets would've been affected by the flames and look chalky on the pudding?
Ian would spot that straight away , he's a chef.
She should've crushed them into the custard or cream then just had the pudding herself (so not arousing suspicion)
