Please help me name this actor. Driving me bonkers.

Ok. I think he’s Scottish. Over 60. Balding but hair a sandy/ginger/blond sort of colour. Slim, sharp features (I think)
Similar age but not either Bill Paterson or Denis Lawson. I picture him as weary and maybe as an older uniformed police officer. 😩😩😩 Any ideas?

I don't know if he's the one, but I had his face in my mind last night as a possible contender and couldn't get the name.

He's married to Stella Gonet who's Scottish so there is a connection!

And I see he's in the list of already mentioned and discounted. Oh well....

Nicholas Farrell is a great actor, saw him on stage in 2012 in a Terence Rattigan play. He is very low key and doesn't do celebrity it seems or interviews
