Ok. I think he’s Scottish. Over 60. Balding but hair a sandy/ginger/blond sort of colour. Slim, sharp features (I think)
Similar age but not either Bill Paterson or Denis Lawson. I picture him as weary and maybe as an older uniformed police officer. 😩😩😩 Any ideas?

Getting all Poirot but the “I think he’s Scottish” in the original post and the reference to Alex Macqueen - here’s a younger actor who’s not this one but has a similar look/plays similar parts. His name is Alex Macqueen who to me doesn’t fit the physical description that’s been in my head, is throwing me off completely. Maybe he’s not Scottish at all, which opens up a whole new world of pain.

Basically what I’m saying, OP, is that I can’t get an image of Alan Howard/Patrick Malahide sort of looks but Alex Macqueen is putting a right spanner in the works! And he looks really English.

@Bilingualspingual, I’d say Alex Macqueen is darker and bigger but he reminds me of him. Probably the specs.

Yes, his look is more Alan Howard, Tim PS type of look and ginger/fair. But A Macqueen just reminds me of him. Character played/glasses or something. Best not to think about Alex Macqueen.
