Did anyone else watch this on Sky Atlantic with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant? It was a slow starter but actually really good. Can't wait to watch the rest

Even though the structure of her face is a little 'different' her skin looks amazing, and her figure too! I wish she could have just stayed 'un-done' though...

I like what you did there! Totally agree.

Ive been suspecting her all episode.
I don't think she has a personality disorder - she's a psychologist and a wronged woman setting her husband up.
But I could be wrong

hopeishere · 10/11/2020 08:19

I'm suspicious of the lawyer friend with the blonde hair. And Donald.

Delatron · 10/11/2020 10:16

I’m wondering about blonde lawyer too. She seems close to Hugh and didn’t he ask her to represent him for work lawsuit or something that was dropped? She’s also in it lots.
They could also be having affair but that would make Hugh very busy procreating!

Cordial11 · 10/11/2020 12:18

Handsoffisback

Did anyone watch tonight’s episode? I think Nicole Kidman has some sort of personality disorder and is oppressing memories. A bit like in The Others when she forgot she was dead.

^^
This is exactly what I think! I starting thinking this when she was mumbling to herself the first time she was at the police station. Shock

Bluntness100 · 10/11/2020 12:22

I’m also not sure about the blonde lawyer, there is something to come out there I think.

And Nicole’s dad, you don’t have a big actor playing that role unless his part is big, I reckon the dead woman went to him as well for something ans he knows more than he’s letting on,

Delatron · 10/11/2020 12:51

Yes true about Donald. And he’d lent Hugh a large amount of money? Some kind of blackmail scenario? Hmm

RoSEbuds6 · 11/11/2020 19:16

I've been thinking about this programme, and although I loved it at the start, I have begun to get a bit tired of it. There seems to be too many scenes of NK stomping around the city in one jewel coloured coat or another, and so many shots of her face! She is a beautiful woman, and I love her, but puhlease!. It just seems a bit thin to me, although something might happen to change my mind.

I have also started to watch 'The Queen's Gambit' and that is really good. A really interesting surprising story, and very well done. I'm gripped!

If you want a real visual feast Ratched is amazing, but it's horrific in places.

Pickypolly · 11/11/2020 19:22

I’m thoroughly enjoying it & the only thing that has perplexed me is Nicole wandering around the streets & Central Park free as a bird following the arrest of her husband and then the next day having fight through throngs of photographers and reporters to get into a car.

Apart from that, I am on the edge of my seat, and that for me is unusual as I am very very fussy. ..don’t get me started on Blyth manor... still furious that the makers of that wasted my time with that shite.

Killing Eve however...CANNOT wait for that to come back, and recently discovered Line of Duty.. superb, really looking forward to the next instalment of that 😁

Allywill · 11/11/2020 20:16

What I don’t get is the defence that the husband uses “she was crazy, obsessed with me, my life”. If I had a crazy person, obsessed with me in my life the last thing I would do is have an affair with them. Thats never going to end well. Unless she only went crazy after. But then she’s not really a crazy person is she - she is a discarded, wronged woman and maybe within her rights to cause him some trouble. He had a child with her fgs. It’s the old story - I used her, I finished it when I had enough and she went crazy. yea right she’s the crazy one (apologies for the use of the word crazy I am paraphrasing the dialogue and mean no offence)

Allywill · 11/11/2020 20:17

Oh and the continuity is terrible. That green coat appears and and disappears at will. As do the rings on her hands

SchadenfreudePersonified · 11/11/2020 21:27

I didn't enjoy the third episode.

It was lacking somehow.

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 11/11/2020 23:17

how many more? I signed up to NowtV and it runs out on Sunday Grin

I'm VERY suspicious of Donald! You don't cast Donald Sutherland just to have him play a kindly father that the main character confides in.

He is 100% in it up to his neck. His story about the 500k & the resultant crocodile tears were a neat touch (as was the piano playing, to show us what a gentle, artistic soul he is Wink)

Allywill · 12/11/2020 21:36

It was also said in episode one that the grandfather paid the school fees. So why would he go to the grandfather and say they had money troubles and were thinking of taking the boy out of school?

Bluntness100 · 12/11/2020 22:06

I think it’s the waiting a week between episodes that’s the issue to be honest we are so used to binge watching stuff now.
Delatron · 13/11/2020 18:36

Yes why on earth would Donald pay the school fees for the child of his son-in-laws mistress?

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 13/11/2020 18:41

I never trust Donald Sutherland. I suspect he may be up to no good.

iloveredwine · 13/11/2020 18:57

Maybe its his child??

BigBadVoodooHat · 13/11/2020 18:59

When was this revealed? It completely passed me by Confused

there's 6 in total.

I'm enjoying it but I get distracted by nicole's top lip when there's a close up of her face.

I hope it has a decent ending, I think there'll be a few twists.

MrsGrindah · 13/11/2020 19:08

I am fascinated by the work she has had done. Also all this sighing and heavy breathing. Plus I think she needs a really good haircut!

Does anyone else think the blonde lawyer is a dead ringer for Roz from Frazier? ( If she was blonde)

Delatron · 13/11/2020 21:40

It was revealed that Donald lent Hugh a lot of money. And that Hugh was paying the boy’s school fees? But then why don’t the husband ask questions?
