The series focuses on Tovey’s character – a man with a terrible secret who is (perhaps literally) haunted by the mistakes of his past.

I have been watching it after seeing the main character being interviewed on BBC on Monday morning, he's so different in real life!
I'm enjoying it but can't figure out what's going on. I never thought of Elise and Bob knowing each other, but that's a good idea
Also she was only heard banging on the boyfriends door, maybe he just assumed it was her. It never confirmed if he answered the door and saw her, just heard a banging. I know some people think it's slow but I love these type of stories.

Thanks I missed that about her turning up in the wood unexplectedly.

But this is the problem for me. I am not that interested in the plot and was distracted into thinking who would have a works' party somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and not lay on transport to at least get people to the nearest station.

Even if you hadn't taken much in the way of drugs or alcohol the idea that you would set off in all your party finery to walk down some mud track is just bizzare.

I don't really understand what's happening. I don't mind Bertie Carvel doing his Fagin, it's entertaining at least but Russell Tovey is doing my head in with his mooning half-expression all the time.

So did he deliberately contrive to meet the sister when he phoned to make an appointment to view or did I miss something? (she asked how he knew her name and he didn't explain).

This is so stupid. Why would they decide to bury her after this happening? Did she have a fit?

Some sort of reaction to the coke. Surely that’s explainable. It’s getting stupid now.

Also isn’t that really close to where the party was?! Wouldn’t her body have been found by sniffer dogs/police at the time? It was hardly deep!

I am so disappointed with this! We could have come up with a better explanation than that!!

This is a pile of shite, surely police would have had sniffer dogs out in the woods.

So much time recapping and showing the same stuff over and over.

Surely there's more to this?

Its so slow and frustrating to watch.
None of the characters are likable so I'm struggling to care about the outcome.
Unless something happens in the next half an hour I wont be wasting an hour of my life tomorrow.

I think she's still alive or he's killed someone else

She cant be still alive, why would she keep away from her family if she was?

Am waiting for a few twists, it cant be just - yeah she died, they buried her and 7 years later got caught.....can it?!

I think the sister he married is involved somehow. You couldn’t get away with a crime in those woods. It’s so bloody light and they’re not even off the road!! Loads of other partygoers would’ve gone past.

Maybe bob has her in a secret cellar? The camera was focussed on the floorboards and rug for a couple of seconds.

What was the cine film about?

Maybe creepy Bob deliberately gave her something dodgy that he knew would cause a fit/death? But I can't think why..it's all so lacking. If it wasn't for the music and the creaky boards there'd be absolutely no tension at all.

He can’t possibly love his wife and watch her go through all this knowing what he knows.
