The Sister - 4 part drama on ITV starting tonight

The series focuses on Tovey’s character – a man with a terrible secret who is (perhaps literally) haunted by the mistakes of his past.

Not sure if this link has spoilers but couldn't find the ITV one!

Not heard ESP mentioned in years!
How did Nathan know Bob then?
I can't believe he was Simon Foster ! Such a different character in this.
Why did Nathan seek out the sister?
( I shouldn't Mumsnet and watch these things as I tend to miss things! )
It's a lovely house but it has an uneasy feel to it. A strange lay out!

Bob really scared me...couldn't have watched it if I'd been alone. I'm a total wimp though.

I wonder if the sister had a different name when he knew her , so that's why he didn't realize they were related or something when he met her?

Maybe to tell her what he knew then he falls for her and can't tell her? Wimps out of it ? It is odd.

I'm rewatching the first bit and I get it a bit more now. I miss bits when it's flashbacks!

I'll stick with it. I am suspicious of everyone so thinking that Holly may be a baddie now! Not sure why but there's always twists and turns in these sort of things.

I'm intrigued about the sister but mostly about Bob at this point. Why the big fall from Grace - presumably on account of his haunting, driven him mad? He's gone from an apparently well respected radio guest to a unkempt man in a filthy bed sit wearing a pink dressing gown?

I struggled to hear what Nathan was saying - so much so, I had to put subtitles on.
I also found it slow, but, so far, a bit intriguing.

Bob's hair is annoying me. He has a home and some money I presume , so why not get a haircut? Love the ' dressing gown of doom ' though. Once your never out of that you know it's grim!

I think all three main characters are creepy ! Especially Bob with the very strange voice. I'm wondering if Holly knows Nathan is somehow involved in whatever happened to her sister and is trying to trap him.

It looks like Nathan sought out the sister when he saw her in the TV appeal right at the start when he was about to take the pills. So lived with the guilt of what happened for 3 years leading him to thoughts of suicide then sees the sister and finds her. Have to say I love RT but this was slow ....

Did see it was written by the same person who wrote Luther, which I also thought was a bit naff, so maybe just dont get his perspective!

Bob is hard to take seriously, he looks like one of Roald Dahl's The Twits. Russell's character is so weird and pathetic why would Estate Agent lady like him? It's very odd but I'll press on.

Nathan is a bit odd. His wife seems too nice to get caught up with him.
Mind you, Bob is even worse! They are a grim pair.

The character, Nathan, seemed barely able to string a sentence together, in almost all of the scenes he appeared.

I may consider watching the rest of it on catch up, it certainly didn't hold my attention enough last night to turn GBBO off 15 minutes early tonight.

Russell Tovey was in ' flesh and blood' he is a good actor.
At the start of lockdown he did a bit of ‘who’s afraid of virginia wolf’ in our courtyard, hes fab.

Simon, Russell is lovely! I remember you on the flesh and blood thread saying he was your neighbour (I think ? )
He seems very nice being interviewed etc . Very down to earth.
