I am enjoying Donald Sutherland’s dark turn in the last episode, threatening ‘ugliness’ on people... he does villainy so well I could honestly listen to his voice all day long... I wonder if he’s ever done any audio books?

NK is just a ridiculous character now dripping around in long coats with too much hair but looking fabulous with no expression. And the fainting scene, couldn't eye roll anymore. I like her, I really do but it's silly.

Sylvia lawyer pal has to be the one to have had the previous affair with droopy eyes surely? Sticking her beak in far too much. Donald is fantastic

I think Hugh Grant is a much better actor now that he's older. I saw him in the Jeremy Thorpe programme - he was great in that, also in Florence Foster Jenkins.

I think NK's father is implicated - he gave HG some money, and must have known he was at the beach house.

I also suspect the widower with the baby. It wasn't clear what he wanted to achieve by stalking NK and going to her apartment.

Yes @Sneachta I’m sure that the other person HG slept with was the blonde lawyer friend - the fact he’d instructed her without NK knowing re his disciplinary matter clearly just the tip of the iceberg, and they’ve laid it on too thick about what a great friend she is to NK (eg NK’s dad saying how amazing she is). I wonder if she did it out of jealousy?

I don’t think either HG or NK did it as both seem too obvious at this point.

I do wonder though - HG was already planning to go to the fake medical conference BEFORE the fundraising dinner, and before he could have known he’d find her dead. Obviously he could have just planned it to keep up the illusion that he was still working, but seems a bit convenient. If he wasn’t planning on killing her did he have something else planned?

NK looks hysterical most of the time. She's trying hard to emote but nothing shows up on her face except her eyes. She she's overdoing the eyes and looking OTT with all the hair, coats, shock/surprise expression every 2 minutes.

The story is fab but I miss the NK of Big Little Lies.

Yep I thought his other affair was blonde lady. And this has something to do with the murder. Just can’t work out what yet!

I’m now wondering if blonde lady did it - obsessed with HG and in a jealous rage? They definitely exchanged meaningful glances in the initial court scene. And she’s being portrayed as a very driven, perfectionist personality - she’s horrible to her daughter. Whether that makes you likely to murder someone I couldn’t say!

The thing I don’t get is why we keep getting flashbacks through NKs eyes? Are they memories, or just what she imagined happening? Also, there are tons of close ups of her eyes swivelling backwards and forwards - that must be significant, surely?

Well it might just be a bit shite and with shite direction ;) like the SNL skit about a commercial for Olive Garden.

I was a bit bored by last nights episode, not gonna lie. And I think the close-ups of NK’s eyes are probably because she can’t convey the appropriate expression with her frozen face.

I found it hard to believe that HG publicly admitted on national television that he has was still in love with Elena. Especially given that NK and DS had paid the 2 million bail and were paying for his shit hot lawyer! Why would he risk alienating them like that??!

@LaBelleSauvage123 yeah it’s weird. We did see a flashback through the eyes of Elena’s husband too so I took it that they were just them imagining.

Could the DNA all over the murder scene be Henry’s and not Jonathan. Would it be the same?

Ah I thought the love declaration might be ambiguous, that he was saying he'd lost his wife - NK:s face was hard to read there. Suspect I'm trying to read more into this than is actually there ...

I agree that the blonde friend is very suspicious. Maybe HG and Elena were going to run off together (hence the conference) and she got jealous.

I was so worried something was going to happen with the baby.
Whatever happens, the children will suffer the consequences the most.

I have a theory based on what Blondes said. So, Elena is the illegitimate child of Donald Sutherland who somehow tracked him down when her son was ill to ask him to pay for treatment (my theory doesn't really work if this was covered in some other way) she meets hg and they have torrid affair and she becomes obsessed with nk. As Donald realises she might upset his precious legitimate daughter he tries to persuade her to leave but instead she becomes more embroiled in their lives. Maybe he gives HG the 500k to send her on her way. He watches her studio expecting HG to get rid, but he doesn't, so when HG leaves her studio, he goes to talk to her, but instead bludgeons her to death ... Not quite convinced of that part but...it's a theory

Hmmm.. Maybe yesterdays. I certainly think Donald Sutherland is more involved in the murder than he should be.

I just don't get how NK goes walking on the dark though the park and the streets. Nobody would do that surely?

Last episode was boring af and ridiculous into the bargain. Don’t think I can be bothered watching the rest of it.

I wonder if NK has blackouts? Channelling her inner Marcella, if anyone saw that?

But then they only seem to have cctv of certain areas in the vicinity of Elens's studio / flat, not the flat area itself as far as I can remember
And DS was seen gazing at Elena's flat earlier in the series wasn't he...

It's too obvious to be NK or HG I feel. But who knows?
