Also annoying clash with Masterchef at 9:00 - will have to watch it on catch-up... any other Mastercheffians here?

Didn't like the "Mr Spoon wants to see Peter naked". Not funny or appropriate.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/11/2020 20:16

I really like that TKMaxx advert . . .

jay55 · 10/11/2020 20:16

Annoyed about the master chef clash too. I'll switch over when this is done then watch the start at the end.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 10/11/2020 20:17

I thought I'd misheard biblio Shock

I didn't hear that bit - but I agree. It's not a nice thing to say - children watch this programme and so do I and I am surprisingly easily offended.

Who said it?

kursaalflyer · 10/11/2020 20:18

I'm suprised they allowed Hemine's jars as the others have to be a bit more careful turning out

CaptainMyCaptain · 10/11/2020 20:20

I think the pots are a good idea though. If I was going to make them I'd do it like that. Less messy and easy to serve.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 10/11/2020 20:20

It was Noel wasn't it? (naked comment)

kursaalflyer · 10/11/2020 20:20

Ah, I see it's not an advantage!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/11/2020 20:21

Peter looks like he's getting a telling off from the teacher.

Yes it was. Creepy of him and not funny
CaptainMyCaptain · 10/11/2020 20:23

Hermine looks horrified at the description of the Pond pudding. I've got a recipe for it but I've never made it

Wolfcub · 10/11/2020 20:23

Have we got a masterchef thread already?

jay55 · 10/11/2020 20:23

The example on the table looks really dry.

jay55 · 10/11/2020 20:24

wolfcub just bumped the masterchef thread.

Impatiens · 10/11/2020 20:24

Agree Hermine - who the hell eats animal suet in 2020??

Wolfcub · 10/11/2020 20:25

Thanks @jay55

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/11/2020 20:25

Pond pudding?

For crying out loud - I've never seen the point of it.

SimonJT · 10/11/2020 20:25

Animal fat in a pudding 🤢

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 10/11/2020 20:25

How does the suet pastry contain all that lemon juice that ran out when they cut into it? I'd expect there to be seepage/ soggy bottom.
Is it extra waterproof?!

CaptainMyCaptain · 10/11/2020 20:26

Suet pastry is made with SR flour so leaving it to rest or kneading it will make it heavy.

Wolfcub · 10/11/2020 20:27

How do they not know how to pleat have they never made a Christmas pud

kursaalflyer · 10/11/2020 20:28

The first dessert in my whole life that has turned my stomach

Al1langdownthecleghole · 10/11/2020 20:28

I’ve just shouted something very similar at the tele Wolfcub.
