Time for a new thread

If it were me, I would hate to start in the bubble after being kicked out - it would really be rubbing it in, and what would you do all day? And people might want to get back to their jobs.

I wouldn't mind a montage of contestants cheering on the finalists from home - would be quite fun to get a glimpse of them in their own environment.

I guess they could, but at the same time, it would be quite a sizable gathering, so probably against some Covid ruling. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks!

When was it filmed? They might have gone home not expecting lockdown to last as long as it did/rule of 6 to come in.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they are kicked out of the bubble when they leave the show, and so there won't be the picnic at the end. Maybe they'll do a zoom call instead?

Looks to me like the 80s episode was filmed in that really hot week in July (or was it August?). They're only having two days between rounds, I think.

If only I'd known. I actually live quite close to where it was filmed. I would have offered to be someone's family for a final picnic!

WhatWill, that's a pity, although I do realise people might need to get back to work and want t oget back to family/friends etc.

Remember that it has all been filmed now, and the summer wasn't as 'shut down' as it is now, So probably just the 3 finalist's families will be 'distanced' together outside.

When is Extra Slice filmed? I always thought it was 'now' but how did they manage a studio audience? They are well distanced but even so.

Anyone know where Jo’s top from is that she’s wearing tonight? Love it!

Sad about Lottie (as she worked well humour wise!) Laura has lots of issues but she is clearly a very good baker. I think a lot of it is anxiety making her flustered.

I quite like Marc.

Anyone else not sure about Dave? He comes across as quite competitive. Peter is ridiculous though! I loved the look of his cake.

Only managed to watch some of tonight's Extra Slice as the signal from our shitty local transmitter has gone AWOL yet again. Will watch on catch up later. Thank goodness for my trusty Firestick!

I do like Lottie. She has a very dry/deadpan sense of humour.

The only one I haven't really warmed to is Dave. Can't quite put my finger on why. I'm sure he's quite lovely.

I don't think Dave is being edited well. He's coming across a bit uptight & humourless and he's probably not like that at all. Maybe he's just focused so doesn't come out with loads of 'funny' quips.

iklboo Such kindness to Dave! he's a bit of a blank page IMO, there seems a lack of humour altogether, probably thinks he's in a too down market- wrong programme!

Funnily enough I used to work with a guy who actually WAS called Colin Robinson.

He was a lazy, entitled, misogynistic, sexist tw*t.

We would have given our eye-teeth for him just to be an energy-sapping bore.

There's always that one man who's a bit arrogant and uptight/scary so you sort of don't mind if he does badly. I know that sounds horrible but they definitely edit jt that way. Like they'll close up his face when someone else does badly, that kind of thing.

I think you could be right about the editing. Will be watching out for that next week.

I'm torn between wanting Laura or Hermine to win. Hermine is by far the better baker, but I don't think even she has a chance against perfect Peter.

Do they Lelo ? I don't remember anyone tbh. Perhaps that's deliberate too. [grin[

Agree about the Mariachi Band it's brilliant! I actually liked the game they played with them on ITT. The 80s songs made me feel old

Just attempted the rainbow bagels. Never made any sort of bagel before! Haven’t tasted them yet though.
