Yes, I noticed the mouse too and wondered the same!
I have only watched up to episode 5 as yet, but what I have seen so far is utter rubbish.
I particularly objected to the juxtaposition of the IRA propaganda and the Mountbatten assassination as a justification for the IRA's terrorism.
This was followed immediately by further propaganda portraying the RF (and presumably, by extension other aristocracy) as bloodthirsty murderers of wildlife.
JA's portrayal of Thatcher is ludicrous - mannered, exaggerated, hoarse voice - nothing like Thatcher's. She does have her walk perfectly, though. Also she gives Thatcher a constant cringing posture - totally unlike her IRL. This seems strange as I have always thought JA a very good actress.
The portrayal of Thatcher's handling of the Falklands crisis is inaccurate - she was not distracted by her son being missing as that occurred at least two months before. In reality her handling of the crisis was masterful.
I enjoyed series1-3, but I don't think they should have made this series.
It's incredibly intrusive and I don't think you can make television about very sensitive personal history (Charles and Diana) when the main protagonists (and their immediate family) are still alive, and most especially when it involves complete invention (some of it scurrilous).
Clearly you have to accept that artistic license will be taken, but the total traducing of almost every character and situation in the current series is beyond belief.
So far, I would say this series is extremely anti RF and anti British.
