I am debating whether I should really be sitting here watching it, feel like I'm being rather complicit...

I hate the way he holds the babies in a pincer like grip to feed them.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 21:44

i agree, deffo. i think he's a prick, tbh. and so is the mother.

choolie · 09/10/2007 21:45

tamum, don't think spock agreed with BF in public, no.

lisad123 · 09/10/2007 21:45

im not that cruel!!! YES YOU ARE!!!

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 21:45

just my opinion.he looked so proud giving his baby a bottle, can't stand the way he leaves his twins to cry but didn;t have time to type more as dd was crying ,nothing new at the moment in my house [and she gets picked up everytime she does]

FrankAwenstein · 09/10/2007 21:45

go sling lady.. cv said she was cruel.. i think we can all see thats true

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/10/2007 21:46

OMG...she just fucking admitted that there is an element of cruelty to her method. Jaysus, this is truly awful.

MsHighwater · 09/10/2007 21:46

I felt like cheering when Claire Scott picked up on the "I'm not THAT cruel" bit!

morningpaper · 09/10/2007 21:46

"All our parents want is a full night's sleep"

REALLY?

All I want is a secure child that knows she is loved. Obviously I am one of those internet-terrorist mothers.

"Proudly sponsored by Huggies"

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 21:46

threaten her with CV, katy, that'll make her stop.

MerlinsBeard · 09/10/2007 21:46

i was watching clare scott try not to smile

lisad123 · 09/10/2007 21:47

my dd went from 7pm till 12pm last night then only woke again at 5am. Must be the nipple twisting!! I love my sleep but then that why you sleep in the day, its the right as a new mum

So rpoud giving the baby a bottle? The Twin mummy wanted to keep bfding and he and the hag ganged up on her to make sure she didn't.

I want to steal the twins and feed them. i am already feeding two my milk supply would be fine in a couple of days.

fondant4000 · 09/10/2007 21:48

If those CV parents were my parents, and I saw the tape when I was older, I'd never forgive them....

themothership · 09/10/2007 21:48

Yes, the sleep deprivation is not much fun, but what the f**k do you expect. DD is 2.5 now, and I love it when she wakes up early, and comes into bed to snuggle me whilst whispering my name.

Tamum · 09/10/2007 21:48

Thanks, choolie.

I hate this emphasis on a race to sleep through, as though that's the be all and end all of bringing up a child. I would have lost any such race by about 6 years, but that's by the by.

hunkermunker · 09/10/2007 21:49

Just a moment - Dreena says you're not thinking of the baby if you feed in public and that feeds in the early months should be private.

HOW is it thinking of the baby to feed in a lavatory?

And she does know that babies feed more than once in the early months and that MOST of those feeds ARE private?!

mumclaire · 09/10/2007 21:49

LOL at Dreena's eyebrows whilst talking to CV....
Of course we would all like babies to sleep thru the night but not at the expense of their physical and emotional wellbeing and in their own time not by being force fed and against their natural rhythms and instincts.

Running out of cushions to throw at TV...

gingerninja · 09/10/2007 21:49

this programme is just so loaded in favour of CV though. wankers

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 21:49

oh really? i thought it was the other way around? i thought he had wanted her to bf. mind you that was a completely bogus converstaion anyway, she'd been ffing them in hosp and they were 11 days old with no mention of expressing and she's goinig 'should i give bfing a try?'

lisad123 · 09/10/2007 21:49

woo hoo, dh just said he will wear a sling like the one on TV. Hadnt brought one as thought he would refuse, so now will have to buy new wrap sling at end of month when money comes in!

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 09/10/2007 21:49

The stuffing of those poor little tiny babies. How are they ever going to control their food intake.

And who is so confident with a tiny newborn that they swing it about like that dad?
