I am debating whether I should really be sitting here watching it, feel like I'm being rather complicit...

Ooh, Huggies have a forum discussing the programme on their website

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:25

I was only on Huggies site to complain to them about their sponsorship, I hasten to add, when I saw the link.

And having read some of the posts... I suggest we stay here, with the literate people.

PoshCod · 10/10/2007 13:26

i cant access it
cut anpaste plix
haev they been on to defend it?

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:31

Oh, how odd, I can't access the posts now, just the initial page.

Wonder if you have to go through the main site?

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:33

Yes, go to the main site then click on site map (once you're in the UK bit) and you can click on forums and see it.

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:33

Post by Huggies says:

"This forum is to support the new Bringing Up Baby show on Channel 4 which is sponsored by Huggies®. We created this new forum area to encourage parents to discuss the show and the issues raised. Are the experts correct, or is it the mother who knows best? What do you think? The Huggies team"

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:34

Not registering with them though, can't be arsed. Have emailed my comments.

AitchTwoOh · 10/10/2007 13:35

so you have your answer, cod... please don't do that again, eh?

hunkermunker · 10/10/2007 13:46

Bit of an etiquette breach there, Cod (or should I say CodRLname?)

PoshCod · 10/10/2007 14:09

AitchTwoOh · 10/10/2007 14:24

choufleur · 10/10/2007 19:19

funnily none of the discussions on the huggies site that appear to relate to bring up baby work. you just get a message saying 'ooppss that url doesnt work'

Joekate · 12/10/2007 23:15

Haven't had time to read all the posts here, so sorry if I'm repeating someone, but Mia's parents have posted on the Channel 4 site saying that basically when CV wasn't around, they broke the rules and hugged and kissed Mia whenever they wanted - then go on to praise CV etc. Also the Spock single mum was on saying about the editing and that her buba slept all night from 3 wks and the reason she was crying was because her boiler had broken down - nothing to do with lack of sleep at all. Will be interesting to see if the twins parents (blimey, I have the urge to put that word in inverted commas) have anything to say.

AitchTwoOh · 13/10/2007 01:01

ooooh, links please.

hopefully this will work - will search for the single mum one now.

Joekate · 13/10/2007 02:42

here's the other one. Hope it sheds more light on this programme. To a certain extent there has been quite a lot of editing going on - but they can't edit the bits where CV speaks directly to camera "I don't care, they're not my kids" kind of thing.

Joekate · 13/10/2007 02:46

Woops don't think the first link is going to work (and I hope to hell you were speaking to me, Aich posting all these links)

Anyhoo, second time lucky

AitchTwoOh · 13/10/2007 09:26

that's outrageous about the night camera, how could the production co be so clumsy as to leave themseves open like that?
and poor becki, i thought she came across really well i must say, even if she was edited to look more flaky than she was.

Poohbah · 13/10/2007 11:43

Well, do you know I don't really believe Matt and Vicky's side of the story, given that Channel 4 are deleteing posts airing legitimate concerns. I wonder how much of this is true. A cover up if ever I've come across one.
