Our Girl Thread 57 "Our Girl Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

It sums it all up when her parents immediate reaction is that Molly must be pregnant when she wants a private word with them.

I'm still watching Molly telling her rubbish boyfriend she's joining the army.

Here she is starting her basic training.

I rather like Corporal Geddings.

ooh yes, the lovely Corporal Geddings....Molly does a classic smirk in the line up.

"Something funny, Dawes" where have we heard that before.

I wonder if that was actually improvised - "I felt like I was in a film"

Wonder if he likes training the girls?

Gosh - poor Molly must feel like she's got a label on her forehead marking her out as potential fail material.

I really don't think I would have done very well as an army recruit.

Molly's kit has been tidied for her by her friends.

Oh no, whenever I hear "letter from the grave", I think of Elvis's and hearing his voice reading out his own letter. I have never, ever listened to it without shedding a tear.

Molly is enjoying the social life - table tennis and a few..ahem..other things.

Molly notices Lauren has got caught up in the ropes and rushes back to help. Even Corporal Geddings seems impressed.

Emergency on the assault course. Molly shows her caring and courageous side.

That female corporal is scary. That job is made for her I think.

Oh an activity camping trip - looks like they're bonding and having a good time.

Love the little private chat over a cup of tea. He's nice really.

Belinda has gone into labour.

This is an eye opener for Molly, when she witnesses the parents of a soldier who has died, recovering his belongings.

Thank goodness Molly has decided to go back to her natural colour.
