Our Girl Thread 57 "Our Girl Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

I’ve been trying to remember what the corporal was in - he was the baddie in series 3 of the Musketeers.

So much better - Molly has died her hair back to normal colour.

Poor Katie doesn't have a nice home life to go back to during leave.

I think Katie must wonder what she's walked into!

Dyed!!

Belinda is a warm person - shame her life is so chaotic. Poor Katie must feel a bit awkward.

Artan has such a bad attitude. You messed with the wrong girl, mate!

Artan tries it on with Molly.

Dave puts pressure on Molly to marry Artan! I'd forgotten just how despicable he is.

I wonder what CJ would have thought of Molly's so called friends?

Noooooooooo, please do not utter "duty of care" again. I do get a bit fed up of it!

This film really drives home the division between Molly and CJ and why we couldn't believe it. You can see Molly changing, but her family would have been a big challenge for CJ to cope with.

Molly and Katie go back to barracks for the rest of their leave.

Corporal Geddings and Molly have another little chat. Mildly flirtatious conversation. She was practising for CJ.

Dave has had an accident and Molly is allowed a few days compassionate leave but she refuses and wants to carry on.

I seem to recall CJ quoting "In Flanders fields........."

So Dave got someone to nail gun his hand. What an idiot!

Ah, the old army chap was Grandad in Outnumbered.

Everyone's families turn up for the passing out parade but the Dawes clan are conspicious by their absence.

Poor Molly. She really does need her mother sometimes. Must be awful to have so little support. I wonder if that is why some people join - to find a family of some kind.

Molly has no one at passing out. Must be horrible at the end to be alone with no family.

Katie looks as if she's been squeezed into her uniform.

ooh er Corporal Geddings in his best bib and tucker. Nice...

That yellow hazard tape just screams "keep your 2m distance" now. I am fed up of seeing it everywhere!

"No gobbing off on day one " and "first impressions" - yes good advice Corp. Let's hope she remembers.

Oh yes, Corporal Geddings scrubs up very nicely.

Molly is now on her CMT training. It looks vey realistic.

Ah, so lovely, Belinda has ignored Dave's instructions and has come to see Molly and brought baby Martin with her.

After doing all of this, I'm surprised that CJ had the nerve to yell at her about being afraid of the sight of blood.
