Our Girl Thread 57 "Our Girl Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Dr Dishy arrives and just when Mimi is getting through to him, he takes a shot and ends the scenario.

The message reaches Kingy and Lt Hurst takes over and tells the Brig where to go - literally.

Omar shoots Rabee and pretends he's not responsible.

Carnage as Rabee shoots one of the ANA, blood everywhere!

I meant, it was all to hide his master plan.

Dr Dishy finds Mimi and praises her. She's not impressed by what happened. Perhaps he feels a bit bad about it.

"Duty of flipping Care" mentioned - hate that grrrh!

So, off they go - Omar, Prof and Georgie, heading for the hospital.

Dr Bahil is suspicious about Dr Dishy and what he has been doing.

It's a bit much to expect Dr Dishy not to report possible terrorist activity. I think it's a bit much to blame him.

I quite like the chat between Monk and Throbber who soon admits what Cheese did to the old Afghan man. I did eventually warm to Throbber. I think it was his actions with the lovely German Shepherd that tugged at my heart strings.

Cheese is so awful. Throbber admits what Cheese actually did to the old man.

Dr Dishy is having his ideas challenged

Dr Dishy tells Georgie that Poya was a wrong 'un. Now she is looking at her Afghan comrade with suspicion.

Now they've diverted to the cement works. Georgie is going to have it out with Rabee/Omar. Sherlock Lane has worked it all out.

Omar makes a run for it. Georgie goes off in pursuit with nothing but her handgun.

This must bring back such dreadful memories for Georgie. Now the rest of Two section are there. Omar has her in his sights.

Georgie wants to hear the truth. He admits that he gave the signal which killed Elvis.

The penny is starting to drop with Georgie. Omar makes a run for it. Backup arrives with Hurst, Kingy, Throbber and Monk

Georgie realises who Omar actually is! Omar has shot Prof.

On the dreadful day, there was a lively market here, and it was an old warehouse, not a cement factory. Just sayin’

Prof arrives and takes a bullet for Georgie. She shoots him back. Then goes in for another shot. She wants to finish him off, but it's a terrible dilemma.

Oh, not a last shot of Elvis at all. Those lovely ones of him at the barracks when he has left the ring for Georgie. God, he was soooo gorgeous.

Love the way she socks Omar, then goes back to save Prof.

Yes, so poignant those last scenes with Elvis, but you can see how this makes a fitting end to that story.

After all the tension and drama, we are back at the barracks and Monk and Throbber have obviously spilled the beans about Cheese who, we can only hope, is sent back to the UK immediately on a charge.
