Our Girl Thread 57 "Our Girl Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

I'm missing Soldier, Soldier a bit now. It goes a bit downhill in the last series or two after Dave and Paddy leave, but there's a lot of good stuff too.

I have absolutely no idea where we're up to with Soldier Soldier. Did we get to the end of that particular series?

Just a thought but I will be away w/c 14 September so are we ok to miss that week and pick up again on Tuesday 22 September? It should work out ok as it's the last one of series 4 next week. Let me know what you think.

Sounds good. I think we had got to the end of Dave's career in the regiment.

Well, not long now, ladies. Are we agreed that this series follows on from Nepal better than all that broccoli - though the broccoli did have more of Blue and the lovely Spanner and Peanut.

I agree eejit definitely agree as a follow on it made much more sense.

Kingy delivers the good news - Georgie is only mad to have joined the army, otherwise, she's just as daft as the rest of them.

Meanwhile, Omar and his gang plot.

When they were queuing up to vote, I thought when we saw this the first time that one of them would be a suicide bomber.

Georgie goes to Dr Antonio, all guns blazing, accusing him of being in cahoots to get Omar shipped off to Pakistan.

He lets her know that he was aware she'd borrowed his pass to go and see Omar in his cell.

Grim stuff - a suicide bomb at the polling station.

Meanwhile, Georgie is on the warpath with Dr Dishy - she is now giving him a grilling about "Omar" being whisked out of the country.
