We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Corporal Hobbs reminds me a little bit of Molly's training depot corporal.

eejittwo · 10/11/2020 21:04

We, no. UKTV playing up tonight. Boo, swearyword!

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:05

The guys are transporting some very expensive equipment. Methinks something might go wrong.

ooh yes ilove every time they show those testing centres I can see Georgie and Molly pitching in and maybe having CJ to help out and possibly even Elvis to keep up everyone's morale!

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:06

Moving to Aldershot. Gosh I didn't realise they were married, I thought she was being very unprofessional there.

Jeremy on the other hand is very loved up indeed.

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:07

Blimey, Daddy has turned up and isn't it Adrian Lester?

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:07

I think we are due to have another testing centre like Liverpool over in Blackburn. It's only about 12 miles from me. There'd be a fight for Elvis to administer the test, that's for sure.

Incidentally, anyone else having to make a conscious effort NOT to think of Elvis on Remembrance Sunday?

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:10

Adrian Lester! Yes, I couldn't place him.

Butcher and Briggsy acting the goat.

Meanwhile, back in barracks, the new Mrs Forsyth has a shock when her first husband, presumed dead in South Africa, turns up on the doorstep.

Oh no, Lillian is still married, so poor, poor Jeremy has married bigamously Shock

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:10

Oh eejit, I know just what you mean.

Looks like a hijack situation. Makes a change from manoeuvres on Salisbury Plain.

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:13

Oh no, the truck of weapons has been ambushed on its way to Aldershot. Who has tipped them off?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:14

Sgt McCleod has been taken as hostage. The other vehicles are doused in petrol and set alight.

Poor Butcher is wounded too.

Here come the cavalry, well the Police at least.

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:16

Here's Jeremy to discover the truth - his wife's husband has turned up.

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:17

Poor Jeremy. The man has no luck with women at all.

eejittwo · 10/11/2020 21:19

Apparently the media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features my browser did not support. Well, it worked okay last week, and I doubt any changes were made between episodes. As I said - boo!

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:19

Blimey, half an hour to reach a phone box! These days it would take you about half a day to find one.

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:19

Poor Jeremy. He really doesn't have much luck in his love life.

The Colonel is at the police station. I should know who the police inspector is, but again can't place him. Any ideas.

Odd to think that when this was filmed, there were no radios or mobile phones for the soldiers to call for assistance.

Pretty bad luck there eejit.

I though she was wearing a nightdress! I didn't realise she was going out looking like that.

Rhubarb01 · 10/11/2020 21:22

I've seen him in loads of things ilove - can't think of one specific lead role, but he's definitely a busy actor.

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2020 21:22

Exactly Rhu. My expression would be "it was so short you can see tomorrow's washing". She's a bit of a rum 'un I think.

Oil spill on the A36....I was listening.
