We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Well, I quite enjoyed that episode, despite our gremlins! It's hopefully got me back into the swing of 1990s army life!

What do we want to do next week? Go over this again or move on?

The racism and prejudice seems quite blatant and shocking twenty years later, but good on them for trying to deal with the issue in the storylines. I hope things are better than that now.

The new group are set up with other halves in tow. It amused me to see Bridget Jones's friend Tom in such a macho role. I saw him in a play many years ago when he was quite young - a two-hander with Bob Hoskins called "Old Wicked Songs". He was very good and so was dear old Bob.

I had to Google him Rhu as I had forgotten. He's now the Major isn't he? Good looking guy, reminds me of the ex of a friend of mine who went out with an army sergeant for a few years. He was a bit rough round the edges and drank too much which was the reason she ditched him.

There's been a lot of coverage on our local news about the mass covid testing in Liverpool. Every time I see it, I think how good Molly or Georgie would have been as part of the team delivering the testing to the city.

Not sure if you've seen another thread on MN about somebody worried about the army providing and administering the much talked about vaccine? Parts of it are hilarious (most are not on the side of the original poster by the way) but somebody suggested this:

Perhaps some sort of catalogue could be issued beforehand where you select your squaddie and then rock up at the vaccination site with your order number written down, sort of like a sexy Argos.

Clearly I was thinking of OG when I read this. Definitely OG and not Dr Sadie from Soldier Soldier.

Anyway, back to the latest episode.
