We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Yes Rhu, hardly warm and welcoming is she? I don't think we see her again though fortunately.

Ah, the stiletto comment, which has been repeated time and time again in the fanfics! As has the puffer fish one.

Poor Molly must be really worried now.

Sort of love this moment when CJ calls her - even though it is really embarrassing and he is really dismissive of her.

Actually, CJ has a nerve doing this to her, when she has had all the training and he hasn't.

I think CJ is in a bad place mentally due to his personal problems at home.

I find Smurf so annoying - all his little comments. Mind you, Molly can't help saying the wrong things too.

Molly hardly helps herself with her comments but CJ is almost bullying her. Kinders witnesses it and doesn't put a stop to it.

What I don’t understand is why CJ is so objectionable.

I'd love to know how, in the years that followed, CJ excused his behaviour to Molly or whether she made him pay for it

eejit I reckon he's a bit cut up about the fact his wife is organising the divorce etc at home while he is on tour. He hasn't shared that, but I reckon he's not exactly happy and relaxed.

It's also about the fact (I think) that this section are all new and Afghan is hardly a walk in the park. It's not as if he has any experienced soldiers amongst them other than Kinders.

Did we get to episode 4 before we knew about the divorce? I definitely disliked him at first and he reminded me so much of some ex Forces officers I had worked alongside (mainly RAF but a few army thrown in for good measure).

Now we get a flavour for what it is like to be out there. Molly must be grateful to see another female, even if it is a little girl with a penchant for biros.

I suppose that one reason Molly is so friendly to the wee girl is that she is missing her younger sisters.

On the spot now Molly - but she gives a good answer which shows she thinks about things. CJ is surprised but in a good way.

It's episode 4 that she discovers he has a wife - and we hated him for it.

We learned so many military terms watching OG! Isn't the mine detector thing called a vallon?

"Dawsey" - reminds me of the chap from the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society!

Back on patrol. Molly has started to take it all in.
