We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Well, here we are, back at the beginning again where it all started.

Here's Molly in her field training and about to be told she's off to Afghan.

Molly has just left home and arrived at Brize Norton.

Enter Captain James. Disliked him at first I have to say. He and Molly don't exactly see eye to eye, do they?

We meet Smurf for the first time and discover that he and Molly have had a ..... liaison ..... in the past.

Gosh - CJ was harsh but maybe he's got more going on than just worrying about a medic with the wrong attitude.

Lovely to see Fingers again.

Poor Molly, bet she didn't want to meet anyone who knew anything about her.

Two Section sound so excited. I'm sure the reality hasn't hit them as yet.

I remember the critic from RT describing them all as inane - but I think it's just naive bravado.

Major Beck - we read of him far more in the fanfics than we actually see him in this series!

CJ is quite intimidating looking at the beginning. He really isn't nice to Molly at all.

Already I can’t stand Smurf.

Here we go with CJ's really nasty 'stag' comments. He really has got a bee in his bonnet.

Makes a change, Molly managing her own kit, after falling over in the pilot.

I never liked him eejit and was concerned later in the series that Molly might just choose him over CJ!

The blonde girl always comes across so unfriendly.

An emergency at the base. Molly freezes and wonders what she is doing. I think baptism of fire is an understatement.
