cow cow cow cow cow

WinnieThePooh · 02/10/2007 21:47

WTF? can't take a phone call because she is feeding the baby.

lomondgal · 02/10/2007 21:47

Another poor granny out in the cold

coleyboy · 02/10/2007 21:47

C4 knows what provokes a reaction.

Claire Verity has got most of the air time. You hardly see the other couples.

MsHighwater · 02/10/2007 21:47

OMG she just called that womans' mother "stupid"!

"How stupid are some people? No offence to your mother, obviously." if someone said that about my mum i'd punch them in the face

MamaMaiasaura · 02/10/2007 21:47

mossy your post is too true

controlfreaky2 · 02/10/2007 21:47

Is there anyone who actually agrees with CV? Why is anyone taking her method seriously?

yogimum · 02/10/2007 21:48

DH say CV will have to go into hiding after this program as we will all be going out to lynch her.

Mossy · 02/10/2007 21:48

I always see feeding times as great times for phone calls actually... baby suckling away is fantastic time to chat to friends... or go on MN of course!!

LittleBella · 02/10/2007 21:48

Oh classic abuse pattern, make sure you exclude anyone who actually loves the mother and the child, so that they become more emotionally dependent on their abuser when they're so dependent.

Vile vile vile

I shouldn't watch it, I shouldn't.

But I can't drag myself away

hunkermunker · 02/10/2007 21:49

Haven't refreshed thread. But I can imagine what you're all saying.

hunkermunker · 02/10/2007 21:49

I think we should organise a systematic cuddle of CV. She shouldn't be put down for the next six months.

lomondgal · 02/10/2007 21:50

Thank god she doesn't have her own kids, just a pity there are so many numpty's out there willing to pay her to make them neglect their children

fondant4000 · 02/10/2007 21:50

Tell you what, if I'd seen this programme when pg with dd1 it wd have helped me enormously I think. I would not have felt guilty about sleep etc., I wd have been glad that there was actually a method which described what I wanted to do (Claire Scott), and I wouldn't have bought one baby nmanual, so perhaps it's not so bad after all!

I can't see any mum opting for the CV method as shown by this programme - it looks terrible.

AllGonePossum · 02/10/2007 21:50

this really presses my buttons. When my LO was 3 DAYS OLD my mother (who would lurve CV) said sternly that I would "spoil him" because I wanted to hold him all the time. Not because I was following a guru, my whole body ached to hold him all the time. Now he's a year old, I have a lot of confidence and i can see that my mother was bloody barking. Thank God i didn't let her interfere and stuck to my newborn like glue. You're so vulnerable as a new mum, wanting to do your best but not entirely sure what that is...

Idreamofchocolate · 02/10/2007 21:50

No Hunker, she should be put down.

Surfermum · 02/10/2007 21:51

WTF? Can't take a phone call. What would she have made of me? Mumsnetting, listening to MIL on the phone AND feeding.

Elizabetth · 02/10/2007 21:51

Apparently CV shagged Mick Jagger when she was their nanny. She's an awful, awful woman -

Mossy · 02/10/2007 21:51

PMSL Hunker... although I have read the complete opposite from a "guru" apparently CV should be left outside for three and a half hours and fed on a strict routine to ensure she eats all she can.

Not that she needs much help with that.

(Sorry, ad hominem, I know, I know...)

hunkermunker · 02/10/2007 21:51

Twin dad is foul, imo.

Sling-wearing dad is fab. And their baby is the most content too. [gleans all this from snatches of edited prog and believes it totally]
