Couldn't see a new thread so started this one. So we're now into a show of two halves, edited together - pre and post lockdown! Who's shouting "before" "after" at each scene?

OP posts:
Smallsteps88 · 03/08/2020 23:04

Ahh! That means I have hope of getting her colour! (I don’t- I’ve tried for years Grin)

excelledyourself · 03/08/2020 23:12

Sarah is really pretty and I think she's a really lovely girl too (aside from the Callum thing!) I like to think that when she's just being normal, day to day Sarah, that Tina is just acting naturally and is equally as nice

Honeyroar · 03/08/2020 23:18

Sarah’s hair was a dark, dull brown when she was younger.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 03/08/2020 23:46

What was the threat that Gary made to Sarah about Callum? I assume it was about Max's dad but then she said that Todd convinced her so I'm confused as I didn't think Todd was involved then at all as it was David and Kylie?

Thisfucker · 03/08/2020 23:56

Sarah, David and Kyle killed Callum and then buried him under Gail's bedroom. Sarah confessed to Todd. I've no idea where Gary comes into this though.

PennyRoyal · 04/08/2020 00:00

If I remember rightly, Jason was arrested for Callum's murder (don't remember why). So Todd did some digging and Sarah confessed that she/Kylie/David had killed him. Todd then came up with the idea of blaming dead Tony (Jason's Dad) for Callum's death, thereby getting his brother and ex off the hook.

Xposted with @Thisfucker Grin

Gary comes into it because when they were together, Sarah told him the whole story and the truth about Callum. Gary is now using that to say he and Sarah have done the same thing and she needs to keep quiet.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 04/08/2020 00:26

Thank you! I'd forgotten about Todd being back then and his idea to frame Jason's dad.

I thought the truth came out about Callum in the end - did it not? Is it still assumed that Jason's dad killed him?

Thisfucker · 04/08/2020 00:27

@PennyRoyal
Ah, I'd forgotten that Gary and Sarah were an item. Tbh, I've not watched Corrie for about two years. My husband watches it sometimes. Most of my info comes from here.

BackwashOfEffluent · 04/08/2020 06:34

One thing I enjoy about Corrie is that it’s made several nods to The Smiths over the years; and now I’m catching up and Maria is in A&E talking about singing to the radio she’s talking about “There is a Light that Never Goes Out”.

Warms my cockles

ellenanora5 · 04/08/2020 11:08

Gemma is utterly stupid isn't she, wittering on about never being able to give up her quads to a woman who gave her twins up for adoption.

Jenny is one of the best actors in the show.

I can't see Sarah and Adam lasting long, why the hell doesn't she just tell him the truth, and why on earth have they not got their own place to live in.

eggandonion · 04/08/2020 11:56

Adam will have to be a super sleuth, along with imran. Its exhausting being a dishy husband.
Jenny's little boy died, didn't he? Maybe she can look after Leanne and abi, now Toyah isn't a counsellor.
We assume here that the sudden cars are a distancing prop. Like the chats with Rita.
I need a vaccine, and I need it to work because social distancing corrie is a bit weird.

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 04/08/2020 18:09

As if a partner in a factory and a solicitor would be starting off married life kipping in David’s box room.

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 04/08/2020 22:16

Adam looked gorgeous tonight. Sarah needs to tell him what’s going on.

Roussette · 05/08/2020 08:30

Ididn't think much of Sarah's acting. When she was makig up stories as to what happened on the cobbles, it was almost like the first day in acting school...
'Tell some lies, act guilty'

desperatehousewife21 · 05/08/2020 08:39

The lies are so awful and obv too ‘oh yeah! I forgot...’ Hmm

Optimist1 · 05/08/2020 09:29

Sarah needs to tell him what’s going on. - thinking about it, there's a lot that Adam doesn't know about her, isn't there? Callum in the concrete, in particular. The whole relationship is pretty one-dimensional.

Spam88 · 05/08/2020 09:32

Can anyone explain to me how Elaine can be a witness for yasmeens defence? She wasn’t a witness to anything of their marriage. Is it legally allowed to have people from the “victims” past come on the stand and say they were a bad’un?

I think this does actually happen doesn't it? There's that footballer who got off with rape because they had a witness come forward (for money) to testify that the victim had previously had a threesome with him.

eggandonion · 05/08/2020 09:42

I don't know what the point of elaine is. Gary knows way too much about Sarah. Maria will be sad again.

Smallsteps88 · 05/08/2020 09:46

Of forgotten about that! Sad

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 05/08/2020 09:46

Was it on last night?

Honeyroar · 05/08/2020 10:35

No @invisible

Spam88 · 05/08/2020 11:56

I think they've totally overdone covid tbh, it's in every bloody scene. I'd have been quite happy if they'd ignored it and would have had no problem with the actors socially distancing with no explanation. It's also a bit weird that they're acting as though they've just come out of lockdown even though lockdown never happened in Corrie. Hopefully the covid references will ease off after a few episodes, I watch Corrie for a break from all this rubbish.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 05/08/2020 12:08

I don't know, covids been worth it just to see Sally wearing Marigolds to go to the Cabin. 😂

Smallsteps88 · 05/08/2020 12:17

I’m enjoying the covid references. Like @MonkeyToesOfDoom says it adds more opportunity for comical moments. Which Corrie usually does quite well IMO.
