Just catching up on some of the comments.

I remember the ingredients round - it sorted out those that really liked food and were using different things from those that just shoved things together. I just wonder whether 10 years on so many of the more 'unusual' ingredients would now be commonplace.

Masterchef Australia has a name the ingredient under the cloche and you get to cook with it round this series. It was good fun.
They also had an absolutely epic blind tasting that went on for ages and ages.

I so need a mindless cheerful show tonight. It's been a horrid few days.
