Chatting with DH earlier about our favourite LLL episode & would love to find it on YouTube or All4 but need help please. Involves a couple with quite a large budget looking for a quiet property. Phil & Kirstie showed them a really nice family house (road noise - few cars visible on the road from the long driveway) A barn conversion (can hear a car - camera pans over fields to show 1 vehicle in the distance). P & K get snippy with them as they’re showing them houses that fit the brief the couple asked for. Show ends with P & K visiting the couple’s new house they bought after the show ended. It was close to a busy road & access was through a car park, possibly a pub car park. I just want to rewatch it for the look on Kirstie’s face when she sees the place they ended up buying.

Annoying but so brilliant to watch. The All4 app on the tv only goes back to series 8 so unsure if I can find the memorable episodes mentioned above

@Oregghiette is that the house Henrick & Vicky bought? I wonder why it was sold a year later?

@thesurreyyouth too much road noise and no garden I imagine Grin

riotlady · 06/06/2020 13:54

My favourite ever episode was the two university lecturers who need space to spontaneously salsa dance xD they actually seemed like quite nice people but the dancing requirement really cracked me up!

Oregghiette · 06/06/2020 14:11

@surreyyouth I think it's the house. Looks the same in the garden picture. Can't tell if Henrick levelled the garden. Looks like the windows were repainted though. Maybe they split up, or realised it was a bit too built up, or they could hear the 303 and didn't enjoy the car park in their back garden!

Oregghiette · 06/06/2020 14:13

There are more episodes on the web app than I can see on my tv. Need to watch from them all from the beginning. Did it start off being called Relocation Relocation then?

oohnicevase · 06/06/2020 14:20

Relocation is a different series to location .

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 06/06/2020 14:21

Wonder if the C4 marketing analytics team will be scratching their heads if they see a sudden surge for an episode from 2002!!

OreBrickWoodWheatSheep · 06/06/2020 15:26

Managed to watch the whole episode with Henrick and Vicky while toddler napped, thank you so much for the recommendation guys!
Great combination of nostalgia and judging people

GreyGardens88 · 06/06/2020 15:33

I just watched it too. God this pair Are So unlikable, they come across so pompous and entitled. Called the first one too suburban, then dismissed the second one as too rural because it didnt have shops or pubs. And I can't believe he called the semi detached cottage in the middle of nowhere a town house. I'm glad this pair weren't planning on breeding

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 06/06/2020 15:40

There was also an episode where road noise was an issue - lovely house but within sight of the M50! So rural on the English border outside Ross-on-Wye.

BitOfFun · 06/06/2020 15:54

I'm getting Susan and Neil from Bolton foe s1e4?

BitOfFun · 06/06/2020 16:06

Ah, it's RELOCATION, not Location, missed that!

zaffa · 06/06/2020 17:00

Was it the same episode where the man got really annoyed with Phil showing them houses that didn't meet his brief because ultimately his budget was too low? And he couldn't believe he couldn't have what he wanted for the budget and then snapped at Phil to stop pushing xx type house on him when he had already said he didn't want it? I can't find the episode you mentioned above Sad

Villanemme · 06/06/2020 17:00

Haha yes, I watched the Bolton one and wondered what the fuss was all about!

thesurreyyouth · 06/06/2020 17:39

@zaffa search Relocation Relocation. It was on Channel 4 for 1 series in early 2000s. Mainly couples trying to buy a city pad for work plus a country home. The couples had a budget for both & had to compromise on something depending on the price of the first place found. Didn’t always go smoothly Wink

It sounds like one in Godalming.

BringMeTea · 06/06/2020 22:36

I know this couple via mutual friends... He is a horrible man. They now live in a massive pile and as soon as they moved in they stopped local use of a way across their land. That had existed for about 300 years or so. Awful.

Tigger03 · 06/06/2020 22:45

Without coming across as massively creepy - googled their names and appears they are still together! (Or were in 2012....)

Can’t get over how cheap the prices were!

BitOfFun · 06/06/2020 22:48

BringMeTea That's so dreadful!

notheragain4 · 06/06/2020 22:56

I love that you have a favourite LLL episode.

Bloody love Kirstie and Phil, I'm hoping it'll still be on TV when they're in their 80s!

FlamingoAndJohn · 06/06/2020 23:24

My friend’s sister was on relocationx3.
It’s not on All4. She was lovely on it and came across very well.

A year or so later she was in London and the train home was cancelled. Last train and no other way to get home. She tweeted about it as she was cross and out of ideas. KA came and got her and drove her back home.

BitOfFun · 07/06/2020 00:48

Wow, what a brilliant story to tell! And how kind of KA.
