Chatting with DH earlier about our favourite LLL episode & would love to find it on YouTube or All4 but need help please. Involves a couple with quite a large budget looking for a quiet property. Phil & Kirstie showed them a really nice family house (road noise - few cars visible on the road from the long driveway) A barn conversion (can hear a car - camera pans over fields to show 1 vehicle in the distance). P & K get snippy with them as they’re showing them houses that fit the brief the couple asked for. Show ends with P & K visiting the couple’s new house they bought after the show ended. It was close to a busy road & access was through a car park, possibly a pub car park. I just want to rewatch it for the look on Kirstie’s face when she sees the place they ended up buying.

Any chance of a link please?

emilybrontescorsett · 05/06/2020 09:05

Sounds like every episode I've ever watched to be fair.

Jouley · 05/06/2020 11:44

I cant link it but if you go onto All4 and look for Relocation Relocation its series 1 episode 4

Sittingontheveranda · 05/06/2020 15:54

There was another classic where Phil and Kirstie showed a couple a house and showed the couple visibly staring to hear a plane and dismissed the house because of the noise.

The couple later found their own house and Phil and Kirstie visited to find it under a flight path to Heathrow!

The one that sticks in my mind is the couple in Jersey or Gurnsey and they had their offer accepted on the most beautiful grade 2 listed house, it was absolutely stunning which they got at a knock down price, however before they exchanged contracts the husband got cold feet and they ended up buying another house K&P showed them an end terraced house, not a new build but a very modern conversion all laminate floors and open plan lounge/kitchen, I know each to their own but to go from almost buying a truly beautiful house to a very standard magnolia house was such a 360, when it’s repeated I often wonder if they kick themselves and what they nearly had if he had not got cold feet.

BlackCatsRule88 · 05/06/2020 16:42

I’m watching it now - Phil in a DENIM JACKET instead of a suit is so strange! Grin

Itsmemaggie · 05/06/2020 16:53

I remember that one, absolute classic. They came across as a couple of nobs.

There was another one with a quite a nice young family who rejected loads of lovely houses for spurious reasons and at the end of the programme they’d found a nice house in Milton Keynes. I got the feeling that they’d found the house whilst waiting to go on the programme and were just too polite to say.

BlackCatsRule88 · 05/06/2020 17:40

Wow! The couple were portrayed as quite unlikeable. I wonder if they are still together. They didn’t seem to actually like each other - when he made the joke about the drink in the pub she just didn’t react, and then when he mentioned a baby she was so quick to say no! I liked how Phil and Kirstie were pointing out the rotting windows, how overlooked it was and the road noise. To be a fly on the wall in their car journey home!

On another note, I can’t believe the property prices!

notchickenagain · 05/06/2020 17:41

Just watched the episode. Can't believe they decided against the 3rd house (or to not go the distance on the chapel) and then to buy what they did for more money, tiny outside space, backing onto a car park etc etc. I bet the programme was only aired to make them look slightly idiotic

missyB1 · 05/06/2020 17:50

@dottiedodah oh my goodness the woman looking in Windsor really annoyed me! She very specifically wanted that area and they showed her a couple of lovely options including a gorgeous cottage type terrace. She had a young child and wanted a garden blah blah and then buys that bloody flat in London!! I actually got quite cross Grin

Sittingontheveranda · 05/06/2020 17:50

I think some couples on the show buy in a location near their family but there aren’t any houses that tick their wishlist for sale so they tour around looking at amazing houses and then buy a nondescript semi where they are familiar with.

I remember that one well.
dottiedodah · 05/06/2020 18:07

MissyB1 I know! My DH used to live in Windsor as a child, liked having a look round so to speak . He couldnt believe it when the woman discounted all offerings ( that lovely cottage ) and chose sodding Chiswick instead!

Jouley · 05/06/2020 18:55

@Els1e I think the episode in Burton Bradstock is the episode before this one Relocation Relocation series 1 episode 3. Tom and Carol Krosnar you can read the summary on the All 4 website with the couples' names

makingmyway10 · 06/06/2020 07:40

I had to go away and watch the Hendrick and Vicky episode! Grin So bizarre, they rejected the house that ticked all the boxes for one that was awful and the garden or lack of!! I too loved that Phil pointed out all the faults with it Grin also that they had not cleared up the dog poop before filming Phil - 'Billie's been busy here' Ha ha brilliant!

Xiphisternum · 06/06/2020 10:50

@BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo

I remember this one! I remember the gorgeous flagstones and fireplace in the period property. Aaaaah! It was one of those one's where I was telling the TV if someone gave me the money I'd move to Jersey and buy it!!

oohnicevase · 06/06/2020 11:42

Can anyone tell me which series and episode it is please? All4 won't let me watch any of it🙄

BlackCatsRule88 · 06/06/2020 11:48

The one in the OP is Relocation Relocation, series 1, episode 4.

oohnicevase · 06/06/2020 11:53

Thank you

Squiz81 · 06/06/2020 12:03

Just watching it now, Phil’s reaction in the garden was so funny! Funnier that the weather was so bad at the end and even made the countryside look crummy 🤣

Walkingtheplank · 06/06/2020 12:09

I've just watched it. Thank you for the recommendation. Absolutely hilarious. Phil's reaction to the garden (if you can call it that) was a treat. I cant believe they turned down cheaper properties with gorgeous views for a house with a garden no bigger than most houses' patio that had no privacy, looking onto a car park and busy road
Absolute comedy gold.

I cant believe the couple are still together.

ThanosSavedMe · 06/06/2020 12:21

Just watching it now. Omg they’re annoying!

Oregghiette · 06/06/2020 13:16

If Hendrick and Vicky had just said in the beginning 'We want to live in a posh village but don't care what the house is like as long as it has high ceilings' it would have been a much easier search for P & K. Pretty sure the house they ended up with is in Hindon. Lots of second homes in this area. Madge used to own a huge property nearby. I wonder if they are still there (and together)? Funny that it all came down to location in the end.

BlackCatsRule88 · 06/06/2020 13:21

For anyone else as overly invested in this as me, I’ve found the chapel on Rightmove which shows how it was converted by the time it was sold 3 again 3 years later for almost twice what it was going to fetch when Relocation visited in 2003 www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=39443234&sale=25947429&country=england
