Hope I haven’t jumped the gun, but the old thread was getting quite full.

I’ve just been browsing the
www.bigcommunitysew.co.uk/
and trying to work out what sewing machines they were using at home. I always do that when a magazine has a feature about one if the contestants. Blush
I think Therese has the same Juki machine as I have and she’s also got the mini quilter too. Lucky lass.

Also, do you think that maybe either Therese or that slightly annoying bloke Peter might have won this year as they also have Juliet, the winner from the last series in this group?

Boden did a dress in Mark's fabric a couple of years ago. I sent mine back as I looked like Dolores Umbridge

ScarfLadysBag · 03/06/2020 21:07

Dolores Umbridge GrinGrinGrin

I've considered applying but if I were to make it, the show would be one giant bleep as all I do is swear!

Jellykat · 03/06/2020 21:10

Yep, sleeve heads can be a bastard..

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 03/06/2020 21:10

I like Matt’s orange fabric.

Is it me or are some of them lazily thinking eighties = vile and overdosing on bling?

RomaineCalm · 03/06/2020 21:11

Evening! Bit late but I'm here.

Looking forward to a trip down memory lane this evening. I had a jacket very similar to that and wore it clubbing on a Saturday night with a pencil skirt, polyester blouse and stilettos...

Halsall · 03/06/2020 21:11

Oh, I hate, hate, hate setting in sleeves.....

MoltenLasagne · 03/06/2020 21:12

I cannot ever imagine sewing a tailored jacket in 4 hours. I've got a jacket I've been working on for literal months.

CaptainMyCaptain · 03/06/2020 21:12

I think they are. It wasn't all like that. I mostly wore rara skirts or dungarees.

ScarfLadysBag · 03/06/2020 21:12

Now I want to strut about wearing massive shoulder pads

SoupDragon · 03/06/2020 21:14

Ah... the rah rah skirt. I was wearing one when I met Nick Heywood 😂

dillite · 03/06/2020 21:14

I have sewn dozens of sleeves and I still don't really understand the setting of sleeves... I have started to use the flat method quite a lot, even when it calls for a set in sleeve.

SoupDragon · 03/06/2020 21:15

Matt's looks good.

Wolfcub · 03/06/2020 21:15

Matt's looks well made

Roussette · 03/06/2020 21:15

Oh I love the Frankie music... takes me back

dillite · 03/06/2020 21:15

Without the giant shoulders, those are nice jackets.

Halsall · 03/06/2020 21:16

I find myself remembering all the words to the music so far.....

SoupDragon · 03/06/2020 21:17

The soundtrack is just wonderful.

Wolfcub · 03/06/2020 21:17

Therese in trouble again

SoupDragon · 03/06/2020 21:17

EnolaGay. OMD.

dillite · 03/06/2020 21:18

Oh, Therese. Not again.

Binglebong · 03/06/2020 21:18

Can't believe Teresa will survive this week.

ScarfLadysBag · 03/06/2020 21:19

Therese on a shoogly peg already

PurpleDaisies · 03/06/2020 21:19

Surely Therese can’t make it another week?

That pvc one is horrible though.

Jellykat · 03/06/2020 21:19

Tears for fears before that Soup
