seriously. i'm watching it now for work and it is terribly upsetting. Claire Verity says 'i'm a bitch, i'm mean to them but it works', no touching, no eye contact, lots of talking about 'baby', presumably because she can't be arsed remembering the name... oh it's AWFUL.

I really hope they are not going to let a little newborn cry until 'feedtime' does CV think babies are born with a built in clock?

Lizzzombie · 25/09/2007 21:48

Look at this
there is an anti CV blog campaign. Bet its number double by the end of the night!

PregnantGrrrl · 25/09/2007 21:48

i'm only really watching for sling tips- not planning on constant carrying, but will be handy with 16mth old aswell. CV is like watching a car crash though- compulsive but unpleasant.

Dropdeadfred, I think they are That's exactly what she said to do
Did you see the dad's face when she told him he couldn't kiss his newborn daughter? FFS

kiskidee · 25/09/2007 21:48

it's nice to see that the Continuum Concept woman looks like an average person. I was hoping that C4 did not going to pick someone that has a more 'fringe' lifestyle.

awww, seeing those little babies is really bringing back memories!

I'm sure to any expectant mother watching this, CV will come across as nothing but a monster.

MrsJohnCusack · 25/09/2007 21:49

I am so glad I can't see this

Blu · 25/09/2007 21:49

Hmmm - beware though - I thnk the trailer showed the Spock woman saying you shouldn't feed in public as it is disgusting!

NotAnOtter · 25/09/2007 21:49

dont scapegoat her

£1000 a day - a lot of couples must WANT this

a lot of women on here.....

BandofMothers · 25/09/2007 21:50

Hmm, just read the article and like the comment about how she doesn't treat her animals the way she makes these women treat their babies, yet she is supposed to have got the idea from animals

Think I'll go and turn it off and never watch it again.
Glad I missed her or my tv might have a boot in it right now

Dropdeadfred · 25/09/2007 21:50

I can't belive they told their other daughter that 'that's the rules, we're not allowed to cuddle her'

Left to grow? are babies just mushrooms now..left to grow alone in the dark...

mykidsmum · 25/09/2007 21:50

the majority of us 'want our lives back' ohhh shall we do a straw poll, where is this majority

PregnantGrrrl · 25/09/2007 21:50

Stealthploarbear- my DH would have told her to f**k off though!

morningpaper · 25/09/2007 21:50

But she has told this FIRST TIME DAD that he cannot kiss his own baby?

That is her professional advice

That he is taking

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 21:50

I wouldn't treat a dog like that

PregnantGrrrl · 25/09/2007 21:51

kiskidee- i want to see someone doing it- i get easily confused with written instructions. Ikea confuses me!

GColdtimer · 25/09/2007 21:51

Anyone else shouting at the screen for the woman in tears to just boot the old witch out and give her baby a cuddle for crying out loud?

Dropdeadfred · 25/09/2007 21:51

Notanotter..are you serious?

BandofMothers · 25/09/2007 21:51

CAN I ASK A QUESTION???

Are they ever allowed to kiss and cuddle them. Do they get like a 5 minute slot in the day for that, or are thay never allowed.???

Can't imagine never being able to cuddle. Also how do you bf without cuddling?? Or burp "it".???
