The new series starts tonight and Jim has got a new dog! I can't wait

I'm so disappointed in last nights episode

It's one of my favourite ever comedies but it just seemed so wrong

I don't think I laughed once and Jim just disgusted me

It seemed so out of place, the Gibby character was two jokes which were totally overdone.

I prefer it when the comedy is around the interaction of the family. Outsiders not so much.

I also didn't enjoy last nights episode, I'm so far disappointed in this series! Shame because it was my favourite and I was so looking forward to it returning

The first episode of the series was brilliant - ‘cholera?’ - but the last two have been a bit

Hope it picks up!

Didn't enjoy this episode much.
Jim has gone way beyond being an entertainingly odd neighbour into a total caricature of himself.
Ginny was.... well, as Optimist1 said, a grotesque.
Some subtlety in their scripts and characters would have made the episode much funnier and less farcical.
What a waste of Mark Heap and Sally Philips.

Gibby, dammit.

Last night's was beyond awful.

FDN has officially jumped the shark.

I wish they hadn't made this series. Finishing it with Wilson's death would have been a nice round-off.

I thought last night's episode was really funny! But I think Jim is brilliant and there was a lot of him in it so maybe that was why!

I know everyone has a different sense of humour, but me and DH thought last nights episode hilarious. Really a few lol moments. Maybe Martin should have removed his shirt at some stage and eaten out of the bin. The boys could have done the salt water stunt. And a mention of a lovely bit of squirrel would have gone down well. The cream tea should have been compared to the famous crimby crumble. However you can’t beat a bit of Nippy nippy!

I think my favourite episodes of all have been The Return of Mr Morris, Grandma's wedding episode, the Two Tonys and possibly the Other Jackie. I like The Anniversary too

I liked the Violin episode and the plastic bag episode this series

I was quite surprised they could get a cream tea that late - and that they had a whole one each!

I agree, not as good as other episodes which is a shame as I like Sally Phillips a lot.

I'm really not enjoying this new series. I haven't seen last Friday's yet, but I watched the plastic bag episode last night.

Don't know if it's the right word, but an element of cruelty seems to have crept in. The way they all behave towards each other actually makes me uncomfortable.

The family don't seem to like each other very much any more, if you know what I mean.

And I'm not mad keen on Auntie Val's new hairstyle either.

Really disappointed in the series so far....last nights one was dire.
(And I hate the new dog, it's so strange looking I find it so distracting!)

I only watched the first 5 minutes of last night, I wasn’t bothered about watching the rest. Hopefully next week will be better.

I loved Friday’s episode. Sally Philips character was very annoying but I still found the episode funny

@AnyFucker whilst I wouldn’t say that I hate the dog, I do think it’s a bit weird looking.

Although, it’s only a dog. And I love dogs so 🤷‍♀️

I'm sure the dog is lovely (I have a scruffy mongrel myself) but it is quite is distracting and a little bonkers looking.
I loved Wilson because it was such a beautiful dog, but also it did look slightly intimidating, which made it all the more funny because the owner was scared of him.
I just think Milson looks ridiculous (but I'm sure she's a lovely dog!) poor dog casting IMHO.

@ifowaa yep I think it’s an ugly looking dog! I do feel bad saying that because I adore dogs and the dog can’t control how it looks.

I wonder why they killed Wilson off? Maybe the real life owners didn’t want him on the show anymore?

I think this series started of brilliant and has now just lost it, it felt boring last week I prefer seeing more of the family. And the bag episode was crap also

I thought it was awfully sad that Frances Cuka had passed away, the actress who played Grandma Nelly.

She was so funny

Does anyone agree with me that they should put ‘Horrible Grandma’ in more scenes?

I know she’s a miserable cow, but I think she’s hilarious. Anyone else?

@fourpeasinapod yes I agree! I feel it’ll link back to previous series. This series doesn’t feel like it’s flowed on from the last series very well

I know they aren’t meant to by the way, I just feel there’s so much missing, shalom, squirrel, bambino’s, crazy tits etc
