Big Cock Little Cock as you have never seen them before

imaginaryfriend · 09/09/2007 22:44

UD they presented Big Brother's Big Mouth for a week recently. They were more bearable than when they're BC / LC.

UnquietDad · 09/09/2007 22:45

I am deeply disturbed by Granny Murray because of:

  1. The way she says "come away in."

  2. The fact that she is not old enough to be a Granny.

  3. The fact that she CHILDMINDS a DOG.

  4. The thought that, because she covers both day and night shifts of parents, she DOESN'T SLEEP. This is perhaps the most terrifying of all. What keep her going? Coffee? Steroids? Lamb's blood cells?

harpsichordcarrier · 09/09/2007 22:45

I quite like the Shiny Show, I think it is rather anarchic.
fab lab was unspeakable. Underground Ernie is pretty ennui inducing too. why is there never anyone on the underground? where are the passengers? is it like some post holocaust wasteland above ground or something.

harpsichordcarrier · 09/09/2007 22:47

also (oh you got me started now)
those songs on me too.
make no sense.
can you show me the way to go?
can you show me the way I know?
well, do you know it or not? if you know it then why do you need me to show you? you contradictory wee buffet-car-caterer.

UnquietDad · 09/09/2007 22:47

Underground Ernie is trtying to be Thomas and failing dismally. They forget to have drivers, passengers etc. The idea of it taking place in a post-apocalypse world where trains have taken over and gained sentience (perhaps a bit like Brian Aldiss' "What Can Replace A Man?") is immensely appealing.

madamez · 09/09/2007 22:49

UQD you b!st!rd! I am now going to spend the rest of the night having really disturbing, sick and wrong sexual fantasies about the ginger one.

UnquietDad · 09/09/2007 22:49

More "Me Too" illogic:

Nobody ever goes to work in the dark. (Mind you, that's true of most TV drama.) The doctor is always on the same shift. The stallholder always arrives and sets up his stall with all the stuff magically there - why doesn't he have to go to the wholesaler at 4am?

UnquietDad · 09/09/2007 22:50

"I am now going to spend the rest of the night having really disturbing, sick and wrong sexual fantasies about the ginger one."

I remember saying something similar when I saw a recent picture of Bonnie Langford.

imaginaryfriend · 09/09/2007 22:51

Granny Murray has that hideous plastic sweaty grin, never sleeps, and worst of all she lives with a male showroom dummy in her lounge.

It's just plain wrong.

... honeypie ...

Dropdeadfred · 09/09/2007 22:54

Madamez...'nonce-fronted; step inside..whom are you referring to ?

madamez · 09/09/2007 22:56

DDF Step Inside is the wierd one with the house that suddenly sprouts a hideous face, presented by a chillingly creepy bloke who's name I don't know.

imaginaryfriend · 09/09/2007 22:56

Mr. Mopple. I don't think he's a nonce, just has horrible colour sense and a shark's grin.

imaginaryfriend · 09/09/2007 22:57

madamez, he's not chillingly creepy in the way Granny Murray is though. Is he? I thought he was a bit of a dork.

VeronicaMars · 09/09/2007 23:03

Shiney Show. I would rather eat glass than listen to it. And all the strange people on Me Too? My God the woman in the taxi.....

UnquietDad · 09/09/2007 23:04

Mr Mopple is Chris.

puffling · 09/09/2007 23:11

The woman in the taxi is meant to be married to the bloke on the buffet car and be the mother of the cute little girl. It's bizarre.

bubblerock · 09/09/2007 23:12

Okay, this is going to show you how crap my TV viewing is, but I was watching corrie the other day and the one who plays Bobby in Me Too had to clean up some vom from a taxi, and I thought - oh that's okay, she's used to cleaning buses, kind of expected her to break into song though.

I hate Smarteenies Lizzie drawing on the screen, she just looks so annoying with her mouth half open and her tongue showing.

puffling · 09/09/2007 23:14

and she appears to get impatient with the kids she does crafts with.

VengefulSquirrel · 09/09/2007 23:14

Yes, Bubble, I hate that too! This thread is ace.

Although, you gotta love Big Picture/Small Picture??

VeronicaMars · 09/09/2007 23:21

The man on the buffet car? On the train? That is bizzare. Nearly as bizzare as the full cast of Balamory.

Kif · 09/09/2007 23:29

shiny show is... baffling
higgledy house is... sinister
me too is... self-important and trite
take a bow is.. often odd for the age group
boogie beebies has.. been taken over by stafe school brats

but cbeebies overall is the best kids programming in the world. No contest.

ShinyHappySchmooo · 10/09/2007 08:01

Does nobody else have any opinions on Wonder Pets and the children's fork-on-plate voices?? Is it just me?

BernieBear · 10/09/2007 08:11

Boogie Beebies - really can't stand it. When do dcs grow out of this????? My ds has made the decision to watch Ch5 now. Not sure if this is a good thing

missgriss · 10/09/2007 08:12

Fab Lab reminds me of wen ddwas born. Five sodding days I was stuck in hospital with the themetune going around my head!

We tend to wach more Nick Jr in this houe these days. Wonderpets are incredibly nippy, as is Dora!
