Strangely there seems no acknowledgement anywhere on line that an episode had been skipped.

ageingdisgracefully · 02/05/2020 20:07

All a bit weird.

What's Bluebell's mother been in? Can't place her.

purpleme12 · 02/05/2020 20:18

This is joke. I get their reason but I'm sorry it's ridiculous. It's pissed me off it's been missed. It should have been shown

Dontlickthetrolley · 02/05/2020 20:39

Not just me who was thoroughly confused by the previously!

purpleme12 · 02/05/2020 20:41

I did hear what they said at the beginning but I was just so not expecting it that I think it didn't process to start with

aWeaponCalledtheWord · 02/05/2020 20:49

i’ve figured out who Ethan reminds me of. C3PO. he does that weird little robotic head tilt.

and when did he sleep with Fenesha?

DivGirl · 02/05/2020 22:03

God I was confused there. Looked like a great episode that they've pulled.

purpleme12 · 02/05/2020 22:07

I know! Angry

MrsHoolie · 02/05/2020 23:14

Just settled down to watch it and had to come straight on here to find out what's going on!

So disappointed, what looked like a good episode skipped because it includes a story with similarities to Corona virus. Couldn't they have just shown it after the watershed with a warning.

purpleme12 · 02/05/2020 23:28

Exactly. So so annoyed. And yes to all those questions about Marty Angry

purpleme12 · 02/05/2020 23:29

(I mean that there are so many things that should have been told and now haven't!)

Mumdiva99 · 02/05/2020 23:51

I missed the bit at the beginning....sae some of the catch up and was confused for the entire episode. Looks like a great episode that we missed. I wish it was on iPlayer to watch if we choose.

megletthesecond · 03/05/2020 00:27

Glad the car park PPE seems to have been a skipped episode. I was dead confused earlier.

Why wasn't that glass partition safety glass?

And why when they picked her ear up off the floor did she still have a very visible ear?

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 03/05/2020 09:51

I don't understand why they couldn't at least put the missing episode on iPlayer. Are we really so traumatised as a nation that we can't handle seeing some fictional doctors battling a fictional infectious disease? I mean, every time I go on Netflix, it keeps suggesting that I watch Outbreak and Pandemic...

I'm not really buying the fact that Ethan was irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex - even if he didn't have a serious hereditary illness, it would be out of character for him. Character consistency seems to be all over the place at the moment.

And I would really like, just once, for an abortion storyline to end with a woman making a considered decision to go ahead with it and not feel regretful, and not be talked out of it for some spurious reason. I can only really think of that one episode of Bojack Horseman, for God's sake, and that was about a world populated with talking human-animal hybrids 🤨

The decision not to air it is ridiculous

Maybe the contraception failed. I guess the other explanation is Ethan got really trollied that night that he wasn't thinking straight.
Because he isn't the sort to not use contraception no

Fenisha told Will that the pregnancy was a result of 'in vino fertilisation', so I'm assuming Ethan was drunk enough not to worry about contraception. Very out of character but he fell for Fenisha big-time.

I agree that the missed episode should at least be put on iPlayer to give people the choice as to whether or not to watch it.

CherryValanc · 03/05/2020 14:20

Agree with all comments.

What I want to know is, will the storyline of Etan thinking she had the abortion so never mentioning his Huntingtons out last the charlie bore off?

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 03/05/2020 14:27

I think it would take a very cavalier sort of person to forget about contraception when he knows he has Huntington's, even if he was completely trollied. It's just not what Ethan would do, unless he's trying to "be more Cal" again.

The way they contrived to get Fenisha not to admit she was still pregnant was really annoying too. Yes, I can see this storyline dragging on for a while!
