Is it just me or are they using this strange 'music' more now

purpleme12 · 20/02/2021 23:37

God this keeping back information is really going to bite them in the bum

There was music...? I never noticed any (but I think we've had this conversation before)
purpleme12 · 20/02/2021 23:51

Well it's not what I would call music exactly but that's the best way I can think to describe it

I thought Connie had a point though - they can't do anything with the information so is there any need to put the worry onto Fenisha? Obviously she will need to know but a worry free childhood surely is of greater benefit.
Sojo88 · 21/02/2021 00:08

I think Connie was right, but surely once Ethan starts showing symptoms, possibly within a few years, Fenisha will find out at that point? And given how much she was going on about "honesty" I don't think she'll be too happy that Ethan didn't tell her!

Fenisha has wound me up a lot throughout this storyline but it was sweet offering to give the baby the middle name "Caleb" for Ethan.

Also why do they keep hiring really annoying paramedics 😂

purpleme12 · 21/02/2021 00:09

Yes I can definitely see what you're saying and probably agree
You can just see it's storing up trouble for later though

needadvice54321 · 21/02/2021 00:13

I was cringing when Grace and the new paramedic were in the bedroom!

Missed Dylan tonight 😍😂

RJnomore1 · 21/02/2021 00:15

Utter bullshit tonight. A 32 week baby isn’t going to be at home a week after birth. It’s not going to be feeding either. It’s going to need at very least a nasal gastric feeding tube. Simple basic stuff and I’m really annoyed.

Hopefully next week is better.

needadvice54321 · 21/02/2021 00:17

Yes I thought that too RJ!

RJnomore1 · 21/02/2021 00:20

My youngest was born at 32 weeks it really really annoyed me 🙈 gordon browns little daughter who died was a 32 weeker too. So lazy.

SoupDragon · 21/02/2021 09:45

Absolutely. I suppose the "right" decision isn't always the one with the least problems. If there is actually a right decision in this sort of situation.

I do think it would be horrible to watch every moment of the baby's life trying to spot early symptoms though. 18 years of worry! Ethan will have that but Fenisha doesn't have to. I doubt very much she would see it that way though, especially given the way they've lined up the complete honesty thing.

It's weird about giving him Caleb as a middle name as I'd thought just a few days ago that it would be nice to name him after Cal.

SoupDragon · 21/02/2021 09:47

I thought Connie handled the whole Grace/paramedic thing surprisingly well for her! I had her down for completely flying off the handle and physically throwing Leon out

I've been ranting about this in my head all week! Absolutely ridiculous that a baby of that gestation would be discharged home and feeding etc, especially after being born in a forest with no steroids!
fairyannie · 21/02/2021 10:04

My daughter's baby was born at 32 weeks without steroids. (Not in a forest.)

Baby was tube fed and on additional oxygen for a week and in SCIBU for 3 wks in total.

I thought that was very unrealistic.

JimmyJabs · 21/02/2021 10:14

It's just extremely irritating that Fenisha seemed to be pregnant for at least two years, and yet had almost no visible signs, and yet gave birth at 32 weeks to a huge baby with a full head of hair. I did laugh when I heard that she'd called him Bodhi, because OF COURSE she did...

CaptainHammer · 21/02/2021 11:09

Casualty wiki has Grace birthday as May 2006 making her 14. Connie would surely be more annoyed if she is 14? Or are they going to pretend she’s older

purpleme12 · 21/02/2021 11:11

They must be pretending she's older

needadvice54321 · 21/02/2021 11:28

They were talking about her going to Uni next year so surely that makes her 16-17?

SoupDragon · 21/02/2021 11:31

I agree - they must be pretending she's older. No way would Connie have let that go if she's 14!

SoupDragon · 21/02/2021 11:43

The episode aired May 2007 so she is not even 14 yet! What on earth are they playing at?

I'm not sure that fits with her age when she was in it before this though so they seem to have messed with it before this.

purpleme12 · 21/02/2021 12:21

Inaccuracies don't tend to bother me too much

Apart from if the writers make the character do something that doesn't follow what their character is like and has been like all along. That gets to me

SoupDragon · 21/02/2021 12:34

They don't really bother me either. Grace's age is ridiculous though. I wouldn't have known without this thread though as her current age seemed to fit with how she was when she left.

bruffin · 21/02/2021 12:50

Just watched first episode if this series, why did everyone have cuts and bruises?

Candodad · 21/02/2021 23:15

She said she had a year before uni didn’t she so they’ve made her barely legal.
