Thought better start a thread as no one else had

Next sat looks good - with poor ruby struggling to juggle work and harmony

And matty pushes jade to the limit

I think they're spreading the episodes they've filmed out now

Optimist1 · 28/03/2020 22:41

Less than a month since @Blondeshavemorefun named this thread and we have ... ... Charlie walking off the job without so much as a letter of resignation!

I did enjoy the "chainsaw" moment with the woman up the ladder looking in at the older woman using curling tongs. Would the former get entangled in the TV aerial's cable? Would she fall from the ladder? Would the latter get her hair tangled in the tongs? The suspense was there for about twenty seconds !

Charlie was acting like he was in the early stages of dementia rather than grieving. It was really odd.

I woke up this morning thinking that surely the elderly mum's notes would have been in the resus area with her. So the whole issue of Charlie wandering off with her DNR and it not being in the notes was a bit far-fetched.

Anyone else thinking something similar happened to Jade as happened to the daughter of the mum with dementia? She seemed very choked up about it all and we know she was in care as a child, don't we?

SoupDragon · 29/03/2020 10:49

I think Jade was put into care because of her deafness. She wasn't wanted 🤔. I remember an episode where she told her old social worker how she'd succeeded.

CherryValanc · 30/03/2020 18:02

Hang on, I was just thinking about this week's episode - what happend to the mum who came in with her son claiming he was ill (think he was non-verbal). Did that storyline go anywhere? I can't remember!

SoupDragon · 30/03/2020 18:16

No, he just went home.

SoupDragon · 30/03/2020 18:16

I wonder if he will be back in another episode

CherryValanc · 30/03/2020 20:24

He has to be doesn't he, otherwise what was the point?

Do you think they are shaping Will to be a pediatrician, the Casualty Doug Ross?

Optimist1 · 30/03/2020 20:41

I think Will has some expertise in paediatrics, Cherry - they always get him to look at any children or babies needing attention.

PoorlyWeasels · 30/03/2020 20:54

Really confused DD this week. "How can he ring Fletch, he's in a different programme?".

(she is aware of the Holby/London and Casualty/Cardiff filming, so I think she was overthinking it)

purpleme12 · 30/03/2020 23:14

I don't think we ever found out the real reason Jade was in case. Jade thought it was because of her hearing but we didn't actually find out what was in the letter in the end

Charlie's behaviour disgusted me especially towards Jade

CherryValanc · 30/03/2020 23:46

Just looked up the character profile Optimist- you're right!! He is already. I don't know how I missed that- I mean I picked up he was consulted for babies and children but didn't realise we were supposed to know that was his speciality.

Does that mean a hiv test

It's on early tonight - 7:25.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 04/04/2020 09:32

I cannot believe that last week's was Charlie's final appearance ever? Really?

SoupDragon · 04/04/2020 10:24

I bet he'll be back.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 04/04/2020 10:40

I agree @SoupDragon. Maybe even as a patient? Connie hasn't come good yet on her promise to Duffy, has she? Would have thought she may play a part.

purpleme12 · 04/04/2020 10:48

Yes really early.

I think Charlie will be back somehow. We would have heard about it if he was leaving now I think

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 04/04/2020 10:51

Perhaps he'll put in a complaint/grievance claim?
