Maybe they all thought it was the Lockdown Stone after months at home on the sofa eating cake.

What the hell happened with that miraculous escape from a watery death? Very much in the category of "With one bound they were free".

MoreRainbowsPlease · 24/01/2021 01:26

I know I was really struggling to work out how on earth they managed to get out/off the ambulance before it went in the water. But I was also trying to work out if it really was possible that both the drivers of the vehicles would have died in an accident at the speed this one would have happened at. And despite it being covid surely someone would have been near enough to hear the accident and come looking to see what had happened. But I was very pleased that Dylan and Faith told each other they loved them. Leiv can do one!

Arobase · 24/01/2021 08:43

DH and I were also wondering whether whoever was expecting them wouldn't have phoned to ask where they'd got to.

Mind you, as soon as I clocked that the driver wasn't a regular member of the cast, I knew that she couldn't survive to the end of the episode.

CherryValanc · 24/01/2021 10:38

I liked the way (I've a list):

Dylan asked if there was rope in the car, like it is a standard thing, and there just happened to be rope in the car.
Dylan's arm was ok for a bit
The somehow got from being unable to reach each other to being off the ambulance in seconds.

Also, if Ethan decided not to have children, surely a person who is so unwaveringly sensible would have had a vasectomy? Also, can't help feeling he would tell her about the Huntington's rather than say "i can't be the father". Maybe he'll change his hair to signal another personality change like when he stopped wearing glasses.

Arobase · 24/01/2021 10:43

The rope wasn't in the car, was it? It seemed to be randomly on the dockside. Mind you, for something that was needed to take the weight of an ambulance, it might have made sense to double it if possible.

I also didn't really get why Lev hit Dylan - did I miss something?

CherryValanc · 24/01/2021 10:47

Yea , it was in the boot of the car.

Popfan · 24/01/2021 11:04

It was ridiculous... why Dylan didn't run off for help rather than uselessly stand around saying he didn't know what to do. Theres also no way Faith would have been hauled out of the ambulance in time!!

SoupDragon · 24/01/2021 11:06

I also didn't really get why Lev hit Dylan - did I miss something?

When Faith was being taken into the hospital, she was asking for Dylan, not Lev and he knows Dylan told Faith about him kissing the man.

SoupDragon · 24/01/2021 11:08

There were two ropes - one that Dylan found and one that tLev had in the back of his car (and which .I thought was extremely puny and not likely to hold an ambulance at all)

Dylan should have out loads of stuff on the bonnet/cab of the ambulance to weigh it down.

I always thought there was a hatch between the cab and the back of the ambulance though.

spiderlight · 24/01/2021 11:28

It was totally ridiculous the way they were both suddenly clear of the ambulance in the couple of seconds it took it to actually fall. Dylan should have had a proper look in the lorry for the driver's phone or blasted the lorry horn to attract attention.

The other story with the hungry kid randomly stabbing someone at the bus stop was a bit odd as well. How did it jump from him going off with a bit of cash, a potential source of free food and his faith in humanity restored to stabbing somebody?! And why would they have phoned the chef rather than his mother?

SoupDragon · 24/01/2021 11:47

I had to shut my eyes when the ambulance was clearly going over as
I really can't bear to watch people trapped in water. It makes me all panicky. I was somewhat surprised to see them lying, bone dry, on the dockside.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/01/2021 14:38

There is a door between the cab and main part of the ambulance. If you recall, earlier on (before the crash) when Dylan still had the hump with Faith he actually closed it making some comment about her/them not wearing masks. Wouldn't have assumed it was a massively heavy one though (unlike the external ones).

I didn't think the hungry young guy had a mother (dead?), hence why he was out stealing purses for money to buy food.

Maybe Lev is about to morph back into the 'hooligan' he was shown to have been at the beginning when he was first introduced? I certainly don't think it's going to be a case of all's fair in love and war in this love triangle.

SoupDragon · 24/01/2021 14:41

Did Dylan make any attempt to open this door? Of course he shut it -
I remember that now.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/01/2021 14:45

@SoupDragon, I don't recall whether he did try to open the internal door (but would have thought so - Dylan is thorough!).

Don't you think in real life the authorities would have closed off a dockside area if no-one was using it (which would appear to be the case as it was totally deserted)?

BooFuckingHoo2 · 24/01/2021 14:51

How convenient that Lev just happened to have a rope in the back of his car!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/01/2021 14:58

I'm assuming that Lev has put a tracker on Faith's phone which is how he knew where they were? I wonder if anyone will think to query how he found them?

SoupDragon · 24/01/2021 17:26

Yes, he said to the new ambulance guy that he had and that it was normal. I suspect Faith has no idea though so there will indeed be awkward questions!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/01/2021 17:41

No, I suspect Faith will be none too happy about the intrusion, although ultimately it did save her life.

madameMscastle · 24/01/2021 20:15

this episode really made it easy for spot the one that dies.

Their were rumours that there was going to be a death.
Glad it wasnt Dylan or Faith.

purpleme12 · 24/01/2021 23:39

I can't believe they made us think she was going in the water with the ambulance!!
I agree it was like seconds from her being far away from Lev's hand to the ambulance going in so rather strange that one!

2021Sunshine · 30/01/2021 21:31

Who is the female that went to the pub at the end?

purpleme12 · 30/01/2021 21:34

An old friend of Jacob's

I think he might have treated her brother too and did her brother die in the end?

SoupDragon · 30/01/2021 21:42

I think her brother was the guy in the wheelchair...? Pretended he did loads of stunts and stuff.
